I Guess It Really Does Depend On Whose Ox Gets Gored

I Guess It Really Does Depend On Whose Ox Gets Gored

I Guess It Really Does Depend On Whose Ox Gets Gored

Remember the old saying that the significance of an event is more meaningful depending on whose ox is gored?
Well, the sycophantic Obamamedia has had a horn run right up the rectum of their favorite pet beast of burden and they don’t like it one bit.
Dana Milbank, who once said of this President,
Seeking a template to understand the enigmatic president, I consulted three leading academics in the fields of psychology and behavior. With their help, I put Obama on the couch and came away with a reasonably coherent diagnosis: There’s too much going on in the poor guy’s head.
now sticks it to him:
President Passerby needs urgently to become a participant in his presidency.
Late Monday came the breathtaking news of a full-frontal assault on the First Amendment by his administration: word that the Justice Department had gone on a fishing expedition through months of phone records of Associated Press reporters.
And yet President Obama reacted much as he did to the equally astonishing revelation on Friday that the IRS had targeted conservative groups based on their ideology: He responded as though he were just some bloke on a bar stool, getting his information from the evening news.
In the phone-snooping case, Obama didn’t even stir from his stool. Instead, he had his press secretary, former Time magazine journalist Jay Carney, go before an incensed press corps Tuesday afternoon and explain why the president will not be involving himself in his Justice Department’s trampling of press freedoms.
“Other than press reports, we have no knowledge of any attempt by the Justice Department to seek phone records of the Associated Press,” Carney announced.
The president “found out about the news reports yesterday on the road,” he added.
And now that Obama has learned about this extraordinary abuse of power, he’s not doing a thing about it. “We are not involved at the White House in any decisions made in connection with ongoing criminal investigations,” Carney argued.
Yep. The media that has been doing everything to shield Obama from Banghazi in columns like these…
Jackson Diehl: The phony Benghazi scandal
Eugene Robinson: The Benghazi witch hunt
Dana Milbank: No smoking guns at Benghazi hearings
and this one by Richard Cohen in today’s Washington Post:
It is not a crime either to make a mountain out of a molehill, but this particular one is constructed of a fetid combination of bad taste and poisonous politics. Dig down a bit and it becomes clear that some — many? — Republicans suspect that Barack Obama and-or Hillary Clinton are capable of letting people die to cover up a terrorist attack. Either that, or this is what they want us to think.
In the end, it all comes down to an irrational and absolutely rabid dislike of Obama that so clouds judgment that utterly preposterous statements are uttered, usually within the precincts of the Fox News studios. This, as you might have guessed, is classic Benghazi Syndrome. There is no known cure.
…are all up in arms now that President Passerby has been poking their cattle.
Benghazi and the IRS are just about poisonous partisan politics but man, the government peeking into private conversations at the AP, now that’s a national disgrace. That’s a real scandal because it happened to us, the media, after we carried Obama’s water for 6 years – what kind of gratitude is that?
More than 50 major media organizations on Tuesday sent a letter to the Department of Justice protesting the seizure of two months of The Associated Press’ phone records and calling for the department to “mitigate the damage it has caused.”
In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and Deputy Attorney James M. Cole, the organizations — which include POLITICO and Allbritton Communications Company — ask that the DOJ return the secretly subpoenaed phone records and explain how government lawyers “overreached so egregiously in this matter.”
Politico says that he has “lost Washington“:
The town is turning on President Obama — and this is very bad news for this White House.
Republicans have waited five years for the moment to put the screws to Obama — and they have one-third of all congressional committees on the case now. Establishment Democrats, never big fans of this president to begin with, are starting to speak out. And reporters are tripping over themselves to condemn lies, bullying and shadiness in the Obama administration.
But remember, this is a new fad for them and one that is just because their ox got gored.
They have proven time and time again that they don’t care who gets it or even mind getting f*cked themselves as long as Dear Leader buys them dinner.
All I have to say to the National Guild of Palace Scribes is this: “Welcome to our world, asswipes…”
