ObamaBirthCertificate Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, for nearly two decades until this year, told a local TV reporter it’s “proved” that the Barack Obama birth certificate released at a White House news conference amid much hoopla is a fraud.
And when the reporter, John Hook of Phoenix Fox affiliate KSAZ-TV, asked Arpaio the motive for a forged document, he responded, “Good question.”
Arpaio said the establishment media is helping Obama hide something, whether it’s the absence of an original certificate or information that could be embarrassing.
But the fact of the fakery no longer is in question, he said.
“We just proved – again – that is a fraudulent document,” Arpaio said.
However, he pointed out that his investigation didn’t get to the point of grilling any suspects about why it was forged.
Hook argued that Obama’s mother was born in Kansas, and, therefore, was a citizen of the U.S., suggesting that her child was automatically a citizen.
“If one of the parents is an American the child is good to go,” the reporter said.
But Arpaio replied that he missed the entire point of the investigation, which the sheriff launched at the request of a coalition of about 250 of his county’s residents who were concerned about a fraudulent document being perpetrated on Americans.
He said the investigation “has nothing to do with the president.”
It’s about a fake document, an issue which he considers now no longer in doubt.
Further, he charged that the media are complicit.
“We proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that the media will not cover again probably the biggest cover-up in history,” Arpaio said in the interview.
When Arpaio held a news conference in December to reveal the finding of his investigators and experts that the document image released by Obama is a fraud, the establishment media were almost completely silent.
Hook repeatedly asked Arpaio why he should bother with an investigation if Obama’s presidency is not going to be affected.
The former sheriff said that never was the focal point: It was about fraud and forgery.
“Someone should be investigated,” he said. “They violated a law.”
Hook suggested there might have been a reference to Obama being a Muslim on his original documentation.
“I have no idea what would have been the motive,” the sheriff said. “The motive could have been he doesn’t have a birth certificate.”
