God Chose Trump

God Chose Trump

God Chose Trump

When Trump tweets something, the Self-Righteous Indignation Brigade demand that Christians immediately drop their support of the president.  If we don't, then somehow we have lost our integrity or compromised our faith.  Isn't that obvious?
No.  Here's why.
I used to be a harsh Trump critic and a NeverTrump, writing various articles in a mocking, condescending style (I won't link to them).  Through a series of circumstances and listening to various people in my church tradition and just observing, I changed my mind.  So I decided to flip this question 180 degrees.
How could God use a man with such a deficient character as Trump's?
That question is easily dispensed with.  The Bible is full of heroes of the faith who had moral defects.  It is time to disabuse ourselves of the notion that the presidency is sacred, in the sense that biblical and European monarchs underwent le sacre (sacred royal anointing and crowning).  John Adams was laughed out of court, so to speak, when he suggested that the president take the title "His Excellency."  This was not a far-fetched proposal, because that title appears everywhere in seventeenth-century colonial government documents.
Bottom line: God can accomplish his purposes even with imperfect vessels.
So I flipped the first question to this corollary opposite question:
What if God set up this whole Trump phenomenon?
Is it possible to see God at work nowadays with the Trump presidency?  We need a Christian analysis of current events, so absent today, based on our constitutional founding in the late eighteenth century and some old-fashioned biblical principles.
The answers are not clear in their details so far, but some sketchy lines are beginning to emerge.
Let's accept these premises, as tens of millions of Christians do:
1. God has raised up America as she was constitutionally founded to offer maximum liberty: streamlined, without a gigantic government to limit our freedoms.
2. America has been blessed because of the gospel going around the globe, to be a beacon of light.  If she loses her religious freedom, the gospel suffers, and so does humanity.
3. The left, for whatever warped reasons, intends to transform America from how she was constitutionally set up in the late eighteenth century.
4. Throwing monkey wrenches into the streamlined Constitution, the left opposes the way God ordained this nation to run.
Now, how does Trump conform (or not) to those premises?
First, he nominated two excellent Supreme Court justices.  Let's face it: the flaw in our Constitution is the unpleasant fact that Article Three (judicial) can dismantle the laws that Articles One (legislative) and Two (executive) pass.  And then Article Three can claim that its decisions are "settled law," a classic insider power-grab.  And there is not a realistic thing Articles One and Two can do about it.
So is the flaw fatal?  Maybe, unless we submit to ugly politics that change from one election to the next.  Elected representatives must nominate and vote for justices and judges who respect premises 1 and 2.  It's hard to imagine more traditional Republicans who ran for president this last time around submitting to the Federalist Society's choices.  Maybe they would; maybe they wouldn't.  But since Trump is an inexperienced outsider, he did.  Good for him.  The liberty promised in premises 1 and 2 is on its way.
Second, the left, both politicians or the mainstream news media, has gone stark raving mad.  Leftists are howling at the Moon.  Trump has to get credit for ripping off their masks and exposing who they really are.  Sad to say, but it is difficult to imagine a more traditional Republican standing up to them.  The older generation heard this maxim: "Don't pick a fight with the news media!  You'll lose!"  In the past, when the news media sensed Republicans stepping out of the path the media approved of, the media would attack, and the GOP politicians would hang their heads, put their hands in their pockets, and submit.  Trump doesn't do that.  He fights.  We are about to see whether his running roughshod over the maxim will yield results.  My prediction: It will.
Whatever happens, we are now left with only one choice, since Trump has led us this far into the fray: we must never give up the fight against the media.  We must not back down now.  If we do, they will hand their fellow Democrats our meek and mild heads on a platter.  Trump is fighting premises 3 and 4.
Third, the GOP must change or die.  The only reason the party appears conservative is that the Democrats have lurched far to the left.  Let's not even try to accomplish overnight the streamlined government named in premise 1.  (Maybe that's why Trump won: he did not come across as a "turbo-conservative.")  After eighty years of FDR's big government, reinforced by LBJ, liberal Nixon, and Carter, it is not clear that we will ever go back to a streamlined government as the founders envisioned it.  However, maybe we can roll it back incrementally.  The House and Senate GOP failed Trump when both groups recently passed a budget with a huge deficit.  Apparently, they did not recall that Clinton, coming from conservative Arkansas, worked with Newt Gingrich, then the speaker of the House, to cut taxes and trim the welfare state and other government programs.  Following that conservative principle, they managed to squeak by with a small budget surplus, and the economy heated up as well.  Today, what's wrong with a government cut across the board?  You pick the percentage: 10%, 15%, 20%.  If Clinton and Newt could do it, why not a Republican House and Senate and White House?  The GOP has a lot of fat on it, and Trump is trimming it by rolling up his sleeves and fighting.  The GOP chattering class hate him for it.  Wrong and shortsighted.
Fourth, Trump is about to go through a tough time.  If even one member of the GOP political class speaks out against Trump during this momentary tough time, it will be awful.  That member will appear self-righteous and priggish ("toldya!"), as if he confuses Trump's aggressive personality – which is needed to counter-balance the left's insanity – with his willingness and even eagerness to work with his own party to get things done.
Dear GOP at the RNC and in the House and Senate, don't misread the American political landscape and roll over and play dead at the coming tsunami of venom from the media and their fellow Democrat politicians against Trump.  Go out there in the media spotlight and defend him vigorously!  We have to support him in his fight against the insane left (see premises 3 and 4).
I believe that Trump will come out victorious, because if the left takes the House, and that's not a sure thing, it will overreach and write up articles of impeachment, and clear-thinking Americans will turn against the left.  Trump will win in 2020, and the GOP will retake the House.  Then it will be great to see the forlorn faces of the media and NeverTrumps (as I used to be).
Fifth, politically correct culture, a creation of the left, has been corroding America for several decades now.  If there is one thing the gospel requires, it is an honest look at the world as God created it and at oneself (see premises 1 and 2).  "You shall know the truth [of the gospel of Christ], and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32).  The left has been engaging in the destruction of truth.  Trump is currently fighting its attempt.  Is he extra-loud and strong about it?  Yes, but it is refreshing.  Those extra-dignified GOP politicians and pundits don't like it, but they don't understand the right remedy: strength and toughness.  It is easy to picture most (or all) of the candidates in 2016 rolling over at the first trumpet blast in their ears from the media, if they had the courage to resist P.C. culture in the first place.
For those reasons, along with many others, God chose Trump.
Let's work with and for the man we have now.  He is a fighter.  I say we fight with him, not against him.

The Supreme Court, 'Clean' Energy, and the Clean Air Act

The Supreme Court, 'Clean' Energy, and the Clean Air Act

The Supreme Court, 'Clean' Energy, and the Clean Air Act

When we hear about "clean" energy these days, it generally refers only to solar and wind, which do not emit CO2.  CO2 is never mentioned as a "criteria pollutant" in the Clean Air Act or any amendment.  Yet in 2007, the Supreme Court of the United States, in a 5-4 decision in the case of Massachusetts v. EPA, declared CO2 a Clean Air Act pollutant.  I wonder how many have noticed the possibility of a constitutional conflict here.
I note that the designation of "clean energy" evidently does not cover nuclear (or hydro), although these also do not emit CO2 in generating electricity.  The reason seems to be mainly ideological.  Climate alarmists illogically prefer solar and wind, in spite of their well recognized erratic nature and intermittency – requiring (fossil-fueled, CO2-emitting) standby power plants on the electric grid.  These must always be ready to fill any unacceptable supply gaps "when the Sun don't shine and the wind don't blow."  A federal investment tax credit and other subsidies also favor S&W in spite of their many shortcomings.
But CO2 is not a pollutant by any stretch of the imagination.  CO2 is a natural constituent of Earth's atmosphere and a vital fertilizer for all growing plants.  Without atmospheric CO2, there would be no agriculture and indeed no life on Earth.  Its putative impact on the climate is minor.  For example, I have shown that CO2 has no definitive influence on sea level rise – even though plaintiff Massachusetts claimed fear of massive inundation to establish "legal standing" in its lawsuit against the EPA.
I must note, however, that the plaintiffs' evidence may be tainted; it is based solely on an affidavit supplied by Prof. Michael Oppenheimer, a former chief scientist of the Environmental Defense Fund, an aggressive non-profit group.
Other problems of treating CO2 as a pollutant
Once the Supreme Court announced its decision, EPA issued its notorious Endangerment Finding, claiming CO2 is harmful to "human health and welfare."  In accordance with Clean Air Act, the EPA ambitiously applied its Endangerment Finding to fossil-fueled electric power plants, thus providing a scientific and legal rationale for President Obama's "Clean Power Plan," through which he had promised to "bankrupt" coal-fired power plants.
The lawsuit before the Supreme Court actually involved CO2 emissions from motor vehicles rather than power plants.  I will just recuse myself at this point and leave further discussion to lawyers – in particular, whether the EPA is encroaching on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the Department of Transportation, which is responsible for setting mileage efficiency standards for motor vehicles.
I would just note that since the EPA decided to adopt the Clean Air Act as a guide, it has evaded its legal mandate to control all CO2 emissions by applying an arbitrary (i.e., not authorized by law) modification to the Clean Air Act in the form of a "tailoring rule" for cars, trucks, etc.  Thereby, the EPA exempted from regulation such small CO2 sources, despite their central role in the lawsuit that saw the Supreme Court ascribing pollutant status to CO2.
Conclusion
Evidently, the Clean Air Act is not suited for the regulation of CO2.  This is perhaps a job for a future Congress.  Nuclear is superior in most respects to solar and wind energy; it appears to be the energy source for the future, after we deplete low-cost fossil fuel deposits.
I hope that the Supreme Court will revisit its 2007 decision soon.  In writing the minority dissent, Justice Scalia perceptively questioned both the legal standing of the plaintiff and the uncertain science underlying the majority decision.

A little land mine next month awaits Democrats' big dream of impeachment

A little land mine next month awaits Democrats' big dream of impeachment

A little land mine next month awaits Democrats' big dream of impeachment

A cornerstone for the Democrats' blue wave strategy, for a lot of them, is the call to impeach President Trump.  They do this in appealing to their base rather than to the voters at large (who aren't in for it), because it's the only thing their fractious party agrees on.
Well, guess what: that big impeachment element in whipping up Democratic turnout is, surprise, not going to be as easy as they think it is.  In fact, it may be a non-starter.
According to this report from Politico:
A little-noticed court case stemming from the apparent murder of a Columbia University professor six decades ago could keep special counsel Robert Mueller from publishing any information about the Trump campaign and Russia that he obtains through a Washington grand jury.
The substance of the case is entirely unrelated to Mueller's investigation into whether any of President Donald Trump's associates aided Russia's efforts to intervene in the 2016 election.
But if a Washington appeals court set to hear the murder-related case next month sides with the Justice Department and rules that judges don't have the freedom to release grand jury information that is usually kept secret, it could throw a monkey wrench into any plans Mueller has to issue a public report on his probe's findings, lawyers following the issue said.
And it might even keep the special counsel from sending a report to Congress, shaking Democrats' hopes that such a document could provide the impetus for impeachment proceedings against the president.
The Politico reporter, Josh Gerstein, said he asked the Mueller special counsel's office if they were watching this case, and he got confirmation that that they were.  This would be of interest to them only if they too had it on their agenda to Get Trump instead of just do their job on the terms of the law.  You can draw your own conclusions on that one.
The bad news is that a Democratic Congress (if it is elected) could change the law to its advantage and get the grand jury testimony (and, by extension, the Mueller report) released to the public in order to start its coveted impeachment proceedings.
The good news is that the case will be decided upon by a rare Republican panel of judges, something that is no guarantee that it will go Trump's way, given the preponderance of #NeverTrumps in the Washington swamp, and the fact that Republicans, unlike their leftist counterparts, often actually try to interpret the law as it's written.  But there is a chance, unlike if it were a leftist panel, that the judges will uphold precedent, and that would mean President Trump gets to read the Mueller report instead of the partisan crazies desperate for impeachment in a Democratic Congress.  Politico reports that the case will be decided next month.
If it goes the right way, it would mean "bye, bye" impeachment for Democrats as their magic turn-out-the-vote issue and a decisive end to the blue wave, given that Democratic voters won't be so motivated to turn out.
Maybe things aren't all that bleak for President Trump.  This could be another black swan of luck for him – and relief for Republicans that the revolution will go on.

Trump cuts $200 million in aid to genocidal jihad terrorists ("Palestinians")

Trump cuts $200 million in aid to genocidal jihad terrorists ("Palestinians")

Trump cuts $200 million in aid to genocidal jihad terrorists (“Palestinians”)

The cruelly self-titled “Palestinian” terrorist movement has but one objective and exists solely to serve that objective — to annihilate the Jewish state. I say cruelly self-titled because Palestine is Israel. The Romans renamed Israel their biblical foes the Philistines in order to further humiliate the Jews after they were defeated in the Bar Kokhba Revolt.

Trump cuts $200 million in aid to Palestinians

The aid cut is the result of a review of US assistance to the Palestinian Authority ” to ensure these funds are spent in accordance with US national interests and provide value to the US taxpayer.”

By Michael Wilner, Jerusalem Post, August 24, 2018:
WASHINGTON — The State Department has cut more than $200 million in aid to the Palestinian Authority “at the direction of the president,” the administration announced on Friday.
The aid cut is the result of a review of US assistance to the Palestinian Authority ” to ensure these funds are spent in accordance with US national interests and provide value to the US taxpayer,” said a State Department spokesman.
Be the first to know – Join our Facebook page.
“As a result of that review,” the statement continued, “at the direction of the president, we will redirect more than $200 million in [fiscal year 2017] economic support funds originally planned for programs in the West Bank and Gaza. Those funds will now address high-priority projects elsewhere.”
The administration is blaming continued Hamas control over the coastal Gaza Strip for its decision. The terrorist organization’s grip on power there, the State Department said, creates “challenges” for the international community seeking to provide aid.
US President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace team– led by Jared Kushner, his son-in-law, and Jason Greenblatt, his special envoy to the conflict– has prioritized the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, hosting an international conference on the matter at the White House in March, and believes the key to success in any future peace negotiation between Israelis and Palestinians is the end to Hamas control there.
The administration has cut aid to several UN bodies devoted to the Palestinian cause, including United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and the Human Rights Council.
The PA cut off communications with the White House after Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital last December, relocating the US embassy there.
In a statement, the PLO’s envoy to Washington said that Trump was “weaponizing” humanitarian aid and was irreparably damaging the relationship.
“This administration is dismantling decades of US vision and engagement in Palestine. After Jerusalem and UNRWA, this is another confirmation of abandoning the two state solution and fully embracing Netanyahu’s anti-peace agenda,” said Husam Zomlot.
“Only a recommitment from this administration,” he added, “to the long held US policy of achieving peace through the two state solution on the 1967 borders with east Jerusalem the capital of the state of Palestine and respecting international resolutions and law will provide a way forward.”

Busted: Central “Spygate” Lawyer/Lobbyist Adam Waldman Caught Lying to Senator Chuck Grassley…

Busted: Central “Spygate” Lawyer/Lobbyist Adam Waldman Caught Lying to Senator Chuck Grassley…

Massive Hat-Tip to @almostjingo
Adam Waldman is the lawyer/lobbyist for Oleg Deripaska, the Russian billionaire who appears to be a key background player in the 2016 DOJ/FBI scheme against presidential candidate Donald Trump.  Additionally, Mr. Waldman represents the U.S. interests of Christopher Steele, a likely contract employee of Deripaska and author of the Clinton-Steele Dossier that was used by the DOJ/FBI during their counterintelligence operation against presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Because of his centrality, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley recently requested testimony from Mr. Adam Waldman, surrounding his contacts and engagements -with Deripaska, and by extension the DOJ/FBI- throughout the 2016/2017 operation to undermine and remove President Donald Trump.
In a response letter released August 18th (full pdf below) lawyers representing Mr. Waldman told Senator Chuck Grassley their client was “out of the country and not expected to return for several weeks.” SEE BELOW:

However, internet researcher/investigator almostjingo noticed that Mr. Waldman’s wife Barbara Sturm posted an instagram picture today of them dining with friends in New York last night, August 22nd:
(Link) Barbara Sturm second from left, husband Adam Waldman far right.
Whoopsie, apparently the letter from Mr. Waldman’s lawyers was intentionally false and simply an effort to avoid giving testimony to congress.  Adam Waldman cannot be “out of the country for several weeks” and simultaneously having dinner in New York last night.

Here’s the full attorney letter:

.
Russian Oligarch Oleg Deripaska is a key figure at the epicenter of the DOJ and FBI activity that was taking place in 2016.  Through his affiliates, lawyers and associates, Deripaska is directly connected to dossier author Christopher Steele, Fusion-GPS, and the collaborative FBI efforts of Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok.

Adam Waldman (left) and Oleg Deripaska (right)
In the early 2016 text messages and email conversations between DOJ Official Bruce Ohr and Christopher Steele, the interests of Oleg Deripaska are a centerpiece of a quid-pro-quo where Deripaska gains a travel VISA and possible exemption from the Magnitsky Act in exchange for cooperation with the FBI effort against Donald Trump.
Adam Waldman was also the person in contact with corrupt Senate Intelligence Committee vice-chairman Mark Warner early in 2017 when the ‘insurance policy’ was deployed against newly elected President Donald Trump.  As discovered in text messages, Waldman was the liaison, the person providing plausible deniability, between Senator Warner, Christopher Steele and Oleg Deripaska.
As many people are now aware, the SSCI is the most corrupt committee apparatus within congress; and as noted in the text messages, Adam Waldman only wanted to work with the Senate Intelligence Committee on his endeavors.
Within the Adam Waldman text messages to Senator Mark Warner, Waldman also notes the relationship between his client Christopher Steele and former Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chair Dianne Feinstein staffer, Daniel Jones.

Lawyer and Lobbyist Adam Waldman represents central figures: Oleg Deripaska, Christopher Steele and also Julian Assange.  However, the connection between Waldman, Steele and Daniel Jones becomes additionally important.
You might remember that Daniel Jones raised $50 million to continue funding the Fusion-GPS investigation *AFTER* the 2016 election.  It is likely part (perhaps most/all) of the money came from Oleg Deripaska, via his lawyer lobbyist Adam Waldman.
These are the types of questions that need to be answered.  Hence, Senator Chuck Grassley requesting Mr. Waldman to appear and give testimony.  However, it is the uncomfortable issues behind these questions that were apparently so concerning they led Waldman’s own lawyers to lie about his whereabouts.
It appears a little hypocritical for Mr. Waldman to be evading questioning considering it was Waldman who contacted journalist John Solomon earlier in the year to present a story conducive to his client Oleg Deripaska.   He was full of information in May, 2018, but when facing questioning about that information in August – he disappears.
Waldman’s current triangulation is part of the reason for our earlier emphasis/warning on the construct of the May 2018 Solomon article.  After all, everyone involved in the ‘soft coup attempt’ is desperate to safeguard their own interests.
Adam Waldman was representing Oleg Deripaska’s interests in the U.S. to politicians and officials. In May of 2018, John Solomon was contacted by Adam Waldman with a story about how the FBI contacted Deripaska for help in their Trump Russia investigation in September of 2016.
Keep in mind, this is Waldman contacting Solomon with a story.
Waldman told Solomon a story about how his client Oleg Deripaska was approached by the FBI in September of 2016 and asked for help with information about Paul Manafort and by extension Donald Trump. Within the backstory for the FBI and Deripaska was a prior connection between Robert Mueller and Deripaska in 2009.
Again, as you read the recap, remember this is Waldman contacting Solomon. Article Link Here – and my summary below:
♦In 2009 the FBI, then headed by Robert Mueller, requested the assistance of Russian billionaire Oleg Deripaska in an operation to retrieve former FBI officer and CIA resource Robert Levinson who was captured in Iran two years earlier. The agent assigned to engage Deripaska was Andrew McCabe; the primary FBI need was financing and operational support. Deripaska spent around $25 million and would have succeeded except the U.S. State Department, then headed by Hillary Clinton, backed out.
♦In September of 2016 Andrew McCabe is now Deputy Director of the FBI, when two FBI agents approached Deripaska in New York – again asking for his help. This time the FBI request was for Deripaska to outline Trump’s former campaign manager Paul Manafort as a tool of the Kremlin. Deripaska once hired Manafort as a political adviser and invested money with him in a business venture that went bad. Deripaska sued Manafort, alleging he stole money. However, according to the article, despite Deripaska’s disposition toward Manafort he viewed the request as absurd. He laughed the FBI away, telling them: “You are trying to create something out of nothing.”
This story, as told from the perspective of Adam Waldman -Deripaska’s lawyer/lobbyist- is important because it highlights a connection between Robert Mueller and Oleg Deripaska; a connection Mueller and the DOJ/FBI never revealed on their own.
I wrote about the ramifications of the Solomon Story HERE. Again, hopefully most will review; because there’s a larger story now visible with the new communication between Christopher Steele and Bruce Ohr.
It is likely that Oleg’s 2016 entry into the U.S. was facilitated as part of a quid-pro-quo; either agreed in advance, or, more likely, planned by the DOJ/FBI for later use in their 2016 Trump operation; as evidenced in the September 2016 FBI request. Regardless of the planning aspect, billionaire Deripaska is connected to Chris Steele, a source for Chris Steele, and likely even the employer of Chris Steele.
The FBI used Oleg Deripaska (source), and Oleg Deripaska used the FBI (visa).
Here’s where it gets interesting….
In that May article John Solomon reports that Deripaska wanted to testify to congress last year (2017), without any immunity request, but was rebuked. Who blocked his testimony?
In 2017 Oleg Deripaska was represented in the U.S. by Adam Waldman. Mr. Waldman was also representing Christopher Steele, the author of the Dossier. Waldman was the liaison Senator Mark Warner (Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chairman) was using to try and set up a secret meeting with Christopher Steele. {Text Messages}

As you can see from the text messages (more here), the House Intelligence Committee wanted to interview Deripaska. However, based on their ongoing contact and relationship Deripaska’s lawyer, Adam Waldman, asks Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chair Mark Warner for feedback.
Oleg Deripaska was blocked from testifying to congress. Now, it was obviously not from the HPSCI (Nunes Committee), but rather by the Senate Intel Committee, via Vice-Chair Senator Mark Warner. Oh yes, THAT Senator Mark Warner again.
Now, think about this…. Yes, with Oleg Deripaska in the picture there was indeed Russian meddling in the 2016 election; only, it wasn’t the type of meddling currently being sold. The FBI/DOJ were using Russian Deripaska to frame their Russian conspiracy narrative. It is almost a certainty that Deripaska was one of Chris Steele’s sources for the dossier.
Now, put yourself in Deripaska’s shoes and think about what happens AFTER candidate Donald Trump surprisingly wins the election.
All of a sudden Deripaska the asset becomes a risk to the corrupt Scheme Team (DOJ/FBI et al); especially as the DOJ/FBI then execute the “insurance policy” effort against Donald Trump…. and eventually enlist Robert Mueller.
It is entirely possible for a Russian to be blackmailing someone, but it ain’t Trump vulnerable to blackmail; it’s the conspiracy crew within the DOJ and FBI. Deripaska now has blackmail material on Comey, McCabe and crew.
After the 2017 (first year) failure of the “insurance policy” it now seems more likely President Trump will outlive the soft coup. In May 2018, Oleg tells Waldman to call John Solomon and tell him the story from a perspective favorable to Deripaska.
As the story is told, in 2017 Oleg was more than willing to testify to congress… likely laughing the entire time… but the corrupt participants within congress damned sure couldn’t let Deripaska testify. Enter corrupt SSCI Vice-Chairman Mark Warner:
Um, we’ve got a problem here Mark…
The Russians (Deripaska) really do have leverage and blackmail… but it ain’t over Trump. Oleg has blackmail on Comey, McCabe and conspiracy crew. Oleg Deripaska must be kept away from congress and away from exposing the scheme.
Guess who else must be controlled and/or kept away from congress?
Julian Assange.
Assange has evidence the Russians didn’t hack the DNC.
Between Deripaska’s first-hand knowledge of the DOJ/FBI work on both the Dossier and the DOJ/FBI intention for his use as a witness; and Julian Assange’s first-hand knowledge of who actually took the DNC email communication;… well, the entire Russian narrative could explode in their faces.
Control is needed.
You can almost hear the corrupt U.S. intelligence officials calling their U.K. GCHQ partners in Britain and yelling at them to do something, anything, and for the love of God, shut down Assange’s access to the internet STAT…. Yeah, funny that.
Now, who moves into position to control Julian Assange?
Well, well, well…. Lookie here? Who dat? Apparently the SSCI wants to interview WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, in a closed session. Signed by none-other than our corrupt-o-crats Richard Burr and Mark Warner. Yeah, funny that.
Lest anyone need a reminder…. “The most corrupt part of congress is the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI). The SSCI is the center of the deepest part of the Deep State swamp. The SSCI never, ever, E.V.E.R… does anything that does not protect and advance the self-interest of the corrupt Washington DC professional political class.”

Now do we see why the SSCI is the center of protecting the entire fraudulent apparatus?
It’s somewhat humorous to look at this fiasco from the perspective of Oleg Deripaska. He must be having a lot of laughs with his Ruskie friends about these stupid Americans and how the intelligence apparatus of the United States of America is controlled by corrupt politicians trying to save themselves and the corrupt institutions.
The Russians, notorious for sowing discord, are being used as a shield from sunlight upon actions taken by U.S. own intelligence officers: James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Loretta Lynch, Sally Yates, John Brennan, James Clapper etc.
There’s a reason why I keep emphasizing the source of the John Solomon story was Adam Waldman. Think about it from the perspective of the conspiracy group reading how Oleg instructed Waldman to present his story.
With Deripaska telling Solomon how the FBI contacted him; the background of their prior collaborative relationship; and the likelihood of Deripaska giving information to Chris Steele for the dossier; the scheme team really, really, needed to double down on the Russian conspiracy narrative in case Oleg ever did testify to congress.
By doubling down on the Russian Collusion narrative the conspirators created a ‘catch-22’ defense. They could/can claim Deripaska was/is giving disinformation in his version of events to support the interests of Russia and sewing chaos in America etc. And any Republican who would give Deripaska a platform to tell what happened in 2016 would be doing the bidding of Vladimir Putin. See how that works?
The soft coup team protects themselves by impugning the motive of Deripaska, and diminishing his credibility under the auspices of Russian disinformation.

Historic Trout Gymnasium

Historic Trout Gymnasium

Historic Trout Gymnasium at Centralia High School. This place held about 3500 people and was filled most Fridays when the Orphans were home. Loved the place. Such great memories.
TROUT GYM memories of CENTRALIA:
a share from Fred Johnson.
I just LOVE this memory Fred shared. Just like you are there with him.

"...I dreamed about playing on that hardwood as long as I could remember as a kid growing up in Centralia. This picture made me close my eyes. I could smell the popcorn and feel the energy and anticipation of the crowd, rocked by the band and cheerleaders before tip off.
A city came together in this gym. Packed so full people in the balcony sat on the edge and dangled their feet off the side.
As an Orphan, I felt like a gladiator that could not be defeated. There is no jersey I wore more proudly, even as a college player. I received the gift to go to college at no cost to play the game I loved because of the coaches, men like Fred Pearson, that took the time to teach me the art of the sport. They imbued a passion so deep in me that I thought my chest would explode when I held that ball.
And, I took the lessons learned in Trout Gym with me when I joined the Army and brought them to far off places that were even more hostile than the Mount Vernon gym. In no small way, I was kept alive and fought as well as one can fight because I stood on that hollowed floor that had absorbed gallons of my sweat and peeled inches of skin off my knees as a young man.
Indeed, Trout Gym is a church and even though the doors are locked to us forever, that sacred place is in my heart and soul for an eternity.

A Letter to the Narcissist

Dear Narcissist. (Dad/Mum,Sis/Bro, etc.)
I had absolutely no idea for such a long time. I’d never truly understood what narcissism or sociopathy was and never suspected that you of all people could have a personality disorder. I always thought you were the clever and emotionally balanced one, while everyone else around you was easily angered, contradictory, false, selfish or ‘emotional’. You are such a good actress and so clever at twisting the truth. You always, always ended up being the one in control. Always. Such is the power of a mother’s carefully planned and covert manipulations, as well as the stereotype most people believe without question – that nobody loves their child as much as a mother does.
This “not knowing” kept me under your spell – pliable and dependent – for nearly half a century. In the meantime, I thought that something was wrong with me. I needed to toughen up, I needed to be more positive, I needed to have more resolve, I needed to understand more clearly, I needed to be “better”. For such a long time, it never dawned on me that I was good enough as I was. I was an intelligent child, a hardworking and successful student and a conscientious and dutiful adult daughter. But it’s clear to me now that I was also the family scapegoat.
You never took any blame or responsibility for anything. You were so stoic in your rock-solid stance, unwavering and beyond accountability that I never questioned you either. The only one in the family that I was able to question was myself. I sometimes have memory flashbacks of the inexplicably mean and callous things you did and the ruthless and self-serving actions you took. The circular arguments, the silent treatments, the invalidation no matter what I said or did. To be able to survive as a child and then a single woman with only my immediate family for support, I believe my own mind conveniently rationalised those memories for the most part. Those memories did enter my consciousness every now and then and the flashbacks were both painful and bewildering.
I grew up very independent and self-sufficient. In my mind, it was pointless to rely on or believe in other people because they would inevitably prove to be untrustworthy and unreliable. For almost all my life, I thought this belief system was an innate part of who I was. I thought it was my personality and something I was born with. Now I see that it was a natural defence mechanism triggered by a lack of genuine bonding. To the outside world, you looked like a perfect mother, but underneath the shiny surface, the unconditional love, security and affection that every child needs and deserves was not really there. My attitude towards relationships and other people set me up for a lifetime of loneliness and painful isolation. I find it extremely hard to spontaneously relate to other people. I need to constantly calm my thoughts in their presence and remind myself that I am worthy of respect as a person in my own right and there’s no need to try so hard. In my mind, the “go to” thought process is that everyone else is “more important” than I am.
But now I know what you are, thanks to the internet and the research I did when I thought I was losing my mind. Slowly but surely I researched everything I could on depression, anxiety, mindfulness, self-esteem, self-compassion and mental health. I approached my research with the firm belief that I needed to change myself. I was so unmotivated, so jaded, depressed and mentally exhausted, I couldn’t continue living that way. I felt completely empty and nothing at all gave me any joy whatsoever. I needed to find resolutions. My life was crashing down all around me even after all the hard work I had done to have a successful career and happy life.
By surfing the net compulsively, I stumbled across an article that described our family dynamic – the golden child and scapegoat scenario. Then it hit me. The problem wasn’t me, it was YOU!!! You are a narcissist.
When it first became irredeemably clear – almost two years ago – the realisation both stunned and terrified me. You’re a sociopath. My mother is a sociopath incapable of empathy or putting anyone else first, even her own children. In my state of emotional exhaustion and depression, I couldn’t bear the thought of what you were. It made me physically ill. I couldn’t stop myself from crying. The anguish and disbelief made my hands shake and the feeling of hopelessness made me want to hide at home forever. It was SO hard to believe and accept. But deep down, I knew I had finally stumbled upon the truth.
That was my lowest point. Since then, I have become a lot stronger and I now actually like myself and believe in myself. I still have a long way to go, but you will never, ever manipulate or fool me again. I always tried so hard to please you and make you happy and proud. Now I don’t care what you think of me. My mind is my own and it’s much too important to me to allow you to play games with it. The love-bombing, silent treatments, triangulations, pity plays, guilt-trips and invalidation simply don’t work anymore. Furthermore, every time you try to use your underhanded tactics, it reinforces to me how pathetic and disordered you are. Now, I thank the universe every day that I did not inherit your sickness.
The advice of ‘no contact’ is, I agree, the best remedy when dealing with a toxic narcissist. Unfortunately, it’s easier said than done in some situations. I can’t just move to another town or country. I can’t just uproot my whole life and forget that I have a family. I still love my family, even though it’s so unhealthy for my peace of mind. I love and still want contact with my father, a good natured, peace-loving man who has basically surrendered his own will in order to survive the intolerable. I don’t even know for sure if he is actually in a constant state of delusion or if he’s aware but towing the line. Either way, my heart breaks for him. I believe the main reason we are still a “family” is because of his ability to endure your covert and dominating mind-games and still treat his children with a semblance of love and good humour.
Now that I know what you are mother, I can see how childish, immature and self-centred you are. I can see how fragile your ego is. You need to be the centre of attention all the time. You need to be cared for and listened to first, no matter what hardships or pain other people are facing. You are constantly critical of anything and anyone. If the sun is shining and it’s a glorious day, to you it’s too hot and you’re uncomfortable. If someone else is suffering from a fatal disease, you instantly start talking about how much pain you’ve been in lately. I’m embarrassed and sad for you that you don’t know any better.
We will never be able to have a normal, loving conversation together as mother and daughter. Isn’t that sad? It is to me, but you lack that emotion, so it’s pointless asking you. My life has been profoundly affected by such sad thoughts and memories. I look at other people who do have loving relationships with their mother and I wonder what it must be like.
On the bright side, you have inadvertently shown me that the world has so much beauty and wonder. It’s evident everywhere, even in your personality disorder. You often made a point of telling me some awful story or tale of woe that you’d heard. It was usually about some terrible thing happening to someone and how vicious and frightening the world and other people could be. I think you were deliberately conditioning me to be fearful of the world around me. You wanted to make me as miserable as you are. I believe you were threatened by my natural optimism and confidence, because they made me less dependent on you and less controllable. Your covert manipulations worked. For many years, random fears and negative thoughts would creep in about many things. I’m glad to say though, that all your efforts have ultimately failed. I look around and I see so much beauty. Even your disorder is now fascinating to me in some ways … now that I’m no longer trying to keep my head above the emotional stormy sea you tried to drown me in.
Sincerely,
The Healthy One.
