A onetime associate of FBI spy Stefan Halper says the University of Cambridge professor told him that retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn was “unsuitable” for the post of President Trump’s national security adviser and added, “I don’t think Flynn’s going to be around long.”
Mr. Halper’s remarks to Steven P. Schrage, then a doctoral candidate at Cambridge, were recorded on Jan. 10, 2017, two days before a Washington Post column on Flynn led to his quick White House dismissal.
Mr. Schrage outed himself Sunday as a whistleblower with a post, “The Spies Who Hijacked America,” on journalist Matt Taibbi’s blog.
Mr. Halper’s remarks were recorded weeks before liberal media began suggesting, without detail, that Flynn
had done something inappropriate regarding a Russian-born scholar. His
supposed transgression happened at a 2014 dinner among intelligence
academics at the University of Cambridge, where Flynn, then the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, was the guest of honor.
Three years later, an FBI counterintelligence probe found no evidence that Flynn,
as an intelligence officer or in retirement, had any inappropriate
foreign contacts, according to a bureau report unearthed by a special
investigator appointed by Attorney General William P. Barr.
The Russian-born scholar, Svetlana Lokhova, alleges that it was Mr. Halper who spread the unfounded smears as a way to create another Trump-Russia conspiracy story. At least one 2018 story about the Cambridge dinner said Mr. Halper was, indeed, a person who complained about Flynn. In response to a lawsuit filed by Ms. Lokhova, a British citizen, Mr. Halper has denied that he was a media source.
He was 6 feet tall and had an athlete’s build. He
played football in high school and was active in sports throughout
college. He spent one summer as a lifeguard at a local pool.
But after he graduated college in the spring of 1968 and became
eligible for the draft and —possibly — combat duty in Vietnam, he
received a diagnosis that let him avoid military service.
No, not bone spurs. Asthma.
And his name was Joe Biden.
Just a few months before President Donald Trump received his
now-infamous diagnosis of “bone spurs in the heels,” former high school
football star Biden got the same 1-Y draft deferment for “asthma as a teenager.”
It was one of five deferments Biden received (the same number as
notorious GOP “draft dodger” Dick Cheney) and allowed him to avoid being
drafted at the height of the war. The year 1968 was one of the
bloodiest of the Vietnam conflict with 296,406 Americans drafted into
military service — the second-highest during the war.

Fifty-one years after the Summer of Love, the draft records of the
sitting president, and at least one of the Democrats who want to replace
him, are issues in the 2020 campaign. In recent weeks, two of the
military veterans in the race — Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton — have been highlighting Trump’s draft record and their own military service.
“You have somebody who thinks it’s all right to have somebody go in
his place into a deadly war and is willing to pretend to be disabled to
do it. That is an assault on the honor of this country,” Buttigieg told ABC’s This Week. He served in the Navy Reserve as an intelligence officer, spending six months in Afghanistan.
Moulton, a former Marine officer who served in Iraq, also accused
Trump of dodging the draft. “I’d like to meet that American someday who
went to Vietnam in Donald Trump’s place,” Moulton said. “I hope he’s still alive.”
Military veterans running on their record of service is nothing new.
And criticism of an opponent’s military background — or lack thereof —
isn’t unusual either, as the Bill Clinton and John Kerry campaigns can
attest. But by highlighting Trump’s record, they’re also turning a
spotlight on other candidates who were eligible for service during the
Vietnam War, including Biden.
In fact, some Democratic strategists believe that’s their true goal.
“They’re not talking about Donald Trump. They’re talking about Joe Biden,” one long-time Democratic activist told InsideSources.
The Moulton campaign, which was the first to highlight the draft
issue, denies any intra-party purpose. “Seth is running to take on
Donald Trump and has been leading the field in challenging him directly
as commander-in-chief,” Moulton campaign spokesperson Matt Corridoni
told InsideSources. “There’s nothing more to read into this than Trump
is a draft dodger and Seth is a decorated four-tour combat veteran who
is calling the president out.”
The Biden and Buttigieg campaigns declined repeated requests for
comment. But it’s naïve to think that raising the issue of Trump’s
Vietnam-era behavior isn’t going to blow back on Biden. DID BIDEN DODGE THE DRAFT?
There’s no denying that, by all appearances, the Joe Biden of 1968
was the picture of health. During his time at Archmere Academy, Biden
excelled at sports. And while he once falsely claimed he played for the University of Delaware football team,
he considered playing on the team (he chose to focus on his
double-major in history and political science instead, he says) and he
was active in intramural sports.
As the Associated Press noted in 2008,
“Promises to Keep,” Biden’s best-selling memoir, “never mentions his
asthma, recounting an active childhood, work as a lifeguard and football
exploits in high school.”

Biden frequently tells the story of his decision to spend a
summer home from college working as the only white lifeguard at a pool
predominately used by black residents. His goal was to learn more about
the community, in part because he already had political ambitions.
One incident from that summer stands out: How Biden had to
wrap a six-foot length of metal chain around his arm to face off
against a knife-wielding local tough who went by the name “Corn Pop.”
“You might cut me, Corn Pop, but I’m going to wrap this
chain around your head before you do,” Biden told him. Strong words, but
he was a healthy, high school football player who could back them up.
Biden and Corn Pop resolved their differences without violence and,
according to Biden, became poolside friends.
Just six years later, at the height of the fighting in
Vietnam, that same poolside athlete avoided mandatory military service
due to “asthma as a teenager.”

Does this prove that Biden was dishonest or made a false claim? No. But a similar story from Donald Trump was enough for Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D- Wis.), who was wounded while serving in Iraq, to label President Trump a “coward.”

got his deferments for the wrong thing. They shouldn’t have been for
his disappearing, imaginary bone spurs — they should have been for that
yellow streak down his back. At least that would have been a real
condition,” Duckworth tweeted on Wednesday.
Based on the lack of media coverage and interviews with
Democratic primary voters, it appears that few potential Biden
supporters even know about his draft deferments. And even if they did,
would it matter?
“The Vietnam War is ancient history in the Democratic
Party,” veteran Democratic strategist Bob Shrum told InsideSources.
“The war was unpopular then and it’s unpopular now. The idea that
someone didn’t want to go or [like Sen. Bernie Sanders] was a
conscientious objector, that’s not going to keep them from winning the
nomination.”
And a new Politico/Morning Consult poll
of registered Democrats found that more than half didn’t believe it was
important for their party’s nominee to be a veteran. Only a third of
Democrats said military service by their nominee was important at all.
The question is particularly problematic for Blake Bassett, an Army veteran and co-founder of Veterans for Joe Biden.
Bassett told InsideSources his group is unaffiliated with the Biden
campaign and that he started it after seeing a photo of Biden giving
money to a homeless veteran at a Washington, D.C. movie theater.
“I really thought it showed strength of character, and I
knew he was thinking about running for office, so we created the
organization in the hopes that we could somehow influence that in a
small way,” Bassett said. “And we have since been trying to bolster the
support amongst the veteran community for Joe Biden.”
And what about the “strength of character” in 1968? What would Bassett say to someone questioning Biden’s decision not to serve?
“I would say that there are a lot of different ways to
serve, right? Going to Vietnam is one of them. Teaching America’s youth
is another. And running for office and implementing policies that are
for the greater good, that’s another way to serve.
“Joe Biden is a very strong advocate of the military and veterans, despite having not served,” Bassett said.
Combat medic and former member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives Amelia Keane is more direct.
“I certainly don’t agree with someone taking a deferment
and to avoid service to their country, particularly when they have aims
of public service at the time,” she told InsideSources. “They should do
their full duty to the country, and if there is a draft, they should
make every effort to serve their time just like other Americans had to
do.”
Until recently Keane was head of the influential New Hampshire Young Democrats,
who’ve been wooed by the young military veterans in the race like
Buttigieg, Moulton and Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. At the same time,
military issues have thus far taken a back seat to both economic issues
like Medicare For All and social issues like abortion.
And Shrum adds one more data point to ponder:
“No Vietnam veteran has ever been elected President of the United States.”

We in the modern United States live in the most regulated period of
human history.
There is nary any human activity that is not licensed,
permitted, or otherwise controlled by bureaucratic experts.
We
in the modern United States also live in the most subsidized period of
human history. Feel entitled to something you’ve not produced or earned?
Chances are higher than ever before that those in government will take
money from others to pay for or provide what you want.
We in the
modern United States live in the most politically correct period of
identity politics, ever. Almost everyone is praised and celebrated for
personal idiosyncrasies beyond their control, such as their skin color,
sexual preferences, & cultural heritage.
Today, you can be “proud” of something for which you have no
responsibility and which requires no effort, talent, time, or
intelligence. (At the same time, if you are responsible, work hard,
become creative, and produce too much, earn too much, you’re likely to
be shamed, publicly, and branded as “greedy.”)
Marriages are
easier to get into, and out of, than ever before. And for every uncaring
parent and every abused or neglected child or spouse, there are
multiple government programs available and armies of bureaucrats ready
to intervene while claiming they “care.”
In short, modern
Americans are more “progressive” than ever before. Their lives are
controlled, regulated, subsidized, supervised, and centrally planned by
bureaucratic experts, down to the playground equipment upon which
children play during planned, well-researched, expert-approved “play
times.”
Never before in American history have so many been held responsible for so little.
And, depression, suicides, and mass, random murders are at an all time
high in the United States. This was true before governments started
closing everything in 2020 in the name of a virus. Since governments
starting closing things, these and other social pathologies have become
worse.
The problem is more than mere partisanship. Rates of
depression, suicides, and mass random murders have been increasing when
Democrats control our big, central planning, progressive government, and
when Republicans control it.
The problem is also more than mere
injustice. Human beings always have the capacity for injustice because
they have free will. Human beings have always found ways to hurt other
human beings. And, still, in some conditions human injustices and social
pathologies increase in frequency, in other conditions they decrease.
There is something rotten and rotting, here and now, among us, with us,
quite likely created by us as we’ve created the very “progressive”
world in which we now live. Time to take a long, hard, honest look at
how we live, how we think, how we speak—time to question our own
premises and study the incentivizes and disincentives we create for
others through our choices and actions.

of Commissioners member, Philip Ahr, resigned from his position after
being charged with possession of child pornography and abusing children

in Kentucky, pled guilty to child sex trafficking and on February 11,

trafficking and child pornography. In November 2017, he pleaded guilty
to one count of child sex trafficking in exchange for the dropping of

sentenced to jail after offering $20 to a 14-year-old boy for permission
to perform oral sex on him.
Republican talk show host Jon Matthews pleaded guilty to exposing his genitals to an 11 year old girl.
Republican anti-gay activist Earl “Butch” Kimmerling was sentenced to
40 years in prison for molesting an 8-year old girl after he attempted
to stop a gay couple from adopting her.
Republican Party leader Paul Ingram pleaded guilty to six counts of raping his daughters and served 14 years in federal prison.
Republican election board official Kevin Coan was sentenced to two
years probation for soliciting sex over the internet from a 14-year old
girl.

Mark Harris, who is described as a “good military man” and “church
goer,” was convicted of repeatedly having sex with an 11-year-old girl
and sentenced to 12 years in prison.

surfaced that he went swimming in the nude with four underage girls,
including his daughter.
Republican director of the “Young
Republican Federation” Nicholas Elizondo molested his 6-year old
daughter and was sentenced to six years in prison.
Republican
benefactor of conservative Christian groups, Richard A. Dasen Sr., was
charged with rape for allegedly paying a 15-year old girl for sex.
Dasen, 62, who is married with grown children and several grandchildren,
has allegedly told police that over the past decade he paid more than
$1 million to have sex with a large number of young women.
Democratic donor and billionaire, Jeffrey Epstein, ran an underage child
sex brothel and was convicted of soliciting underage girls for
prostitution.
Democratic New York Congressman, Anthony Weiner,
plead guilty to transferring obscene material to a minor as part of a
plea agreement for sexted and sending Twitter DMs to underage girls as
young as 15.
Democratic donor, activist, and Hollywood producer
Harvey Weinstein is being criminally prosecuted and civilly sued for
years of sexual abuse (that was well known “secret” in Hollywood)
including underage sexual activities with aspiring female actresses.

Democratic Mayor of Racine, Wisconsin, Gary Becker, was convicted of
attempted child seduction, child pornography, and other child sex
crimes.

multiple accusations of child sexual abuse were levied against him
including by family members.

Mayor De Blasio, Jacob Schwartz was arrested on possession of 3,000+
child pornographic images.

Simmons, was sued based on an allegation of sexual assault where he
coerced an underage model for sex.

Neil Goldschmidt, after being caught by a newspaper, publicly admitted
to having a past sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl after the
statute of limitations on the rape charges had expired.
Democratic Illinois Congressman, Mel Reynolds resigned from Congress
after he was convicted of statutory rape of a 16-year-old campaign
volunteer.
Democratic New York Congressman, Fred Richmond, was arrested in Washington D.C. for soliciting sex from a 16-year-old boy.
Democratic activist, donor, and director, Roman Polanski, fled the
country after pleading guilty to statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl.
Democrats and Hollywood actors still defend him to this day, including,
Whoopi Goldberg, Martin Scorcese, Woody Allen, David Lynch, Wim Wenders,
Pedro Almodovar, Tilda Swinton and Monica Bellucci.
Democratic State Senator from Alaska, George Jacko, was found guilty of sexual harassment of an underage legislative.
Democratic State Representative candidate for Colorado, Andrew Myers,
was convicted for possession of child pornography and enticing children.
Democratic Illinois Congressman, Gus Savage was investigated by the
Democrat-controlled House Committee on Ethics for attempting to rape an
underage female Peace Corps volunteer in Zaire. The Committee concluded
that while the events did occur his apology was sufficient and took no
further action.
Democratic activist, donor, and spokesperson for
Subway, Jared Fogle, was convicted of distribution and receipt of child
pornography and traveling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a
minor.
Democratic State Department official, Carl Carey, under
Hillary Clinton’s state department, was arrested on ten counts of child
porn possession.
Democratic Maine Assistant Attorney General,
James Cameron, was sentenced to just over 15 years in federal prison for
seven counts of child porn possession, receipt and transmission.
Democratic State Department official, Daniel Rosen, under Hillary
Clinton’s state department, was arrested and charged with allegedly
soliciting sex from a minor over the internet.
Democratic State Department official, James Cafferty, pleaded guilty to one count of transportation of child pornography.
Democratic radio host, Bernie Ward, plead guilty to one count of sending child pornography over the Internet.

Election judges at the Denver
Elections Division receive, prepare, and process ballots on June 30,
2020 in Denver, Colorado. There are fewer judges working in the normally
filled rooms to maintain physical distancing, and voting stations are

As of Monday, as many as 11 ballot measures are likely to appear on the November ballot.
In
2018, 13 ballot measures made it all the way to November, but eight of
them went down to defeat, including two that would raise taxes for
education and transportation. The November 2020 ballot is unlikely to be
nearly as chock-full, and the ask on taxes is much less.
Seven have already been approved, including three from the General Assembly. Here's the lineup:
Senate Concurrent Resolution 001 seeks
voter repeal of the Gallagher Amendment. Gallagher, adopted by voters in
1982, requires 45% of the state's property tax base be assessed on
homes and 55% on commercial properties. But with rising home values over
the years, the state has had to ratchet down the assessment rate for
homes to maintain that ratio. That's hurt rural communities that rely
more on residential property taxes than commercial for schools, and
forced the state into a situation where it now pays 65% of the cost of
public education, with local property taxes covering the rest. When
Gallagher was adopted, that ratio was exactly the opposite.
That
measure will require voter approval of 50% plus one, because it was
initially added to the state constitution when 50% approval was the
requirement. House Bill 1427 will ask voters to
decide whether to raise taxes on tobacco and nicotine products, as well
as electronic cigarettes, vaping devices and nicotine liquids. The money
will pay for K-12 schools and early childhood education, health care
and housing. House Concurrent Resolution 001
eliminates a minimum timeline for nonprofit organizations to receive a
bingo-raffle license and allows for outside workers to operate the
games. This is a constitutional amendment that will require voter
approval of 55%.
The measures already certified for the ballot through the petition process:
An effort to repeal 2019 legislation adding Colorado to the list of states approving a National Popular Vote
was the first to qualify for the 2020 ballot a year ago. As this seeks a
statutory change, it will require voter approval of 50% plus one. The
effort on Senate Bill 19-042 is the first time since 1932 that citizens
have attempted to overturn legislation adopted by the General Assembly. Initiative No. 76,
backed by former Republican candidate George Athanasopoulos and
Colorado Citizen Voters, run by former Republican Rep. Joe Stengel, asks
voters to approve an amendment to the state Constitution requiring all
voters to be U.S. citizens. Colorado already requires voters to be U.S.
citizens, but the ballot measure would change the state constitutional
language from "EVERY CITIZEN can vote" language to "ONLY A CITIZEN can
vote" in Colorado elections. The ballot measure is part of a national effort
that critics say is intended to gin up anti-immigrant sentiment. Three
other states are asking for approval of that language this fall:
Missouri, Florida and Alabama. Initiative No. 107
seeks to allow the reintroduction of gray wolves, to be managed by
Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Gray wolves, including a pack, have been
sighted in Colorado in Jackson and Moffat counties in the past year.
Despite a rocky path, the seventh effort in 14 years to ban abortions in Colorado also is on the ballot. Initiative No. 120
seeks to ban abortions when the fetal gestational age reaches 22 weeks.
There is an exception for when the mother's life is in danger, but no
exceptions for pregnancies resulting from rape or incest. The ballot
measure was initially rejected for failing to turn in enough signatures,
but after a cure period, organizers turned in enough signatures to
qualify for the ballot.
Four more ballot measures are awaiting certification from the Secretary of State on their petition signatures.
Backers of Initiative No. 283 which would set up a paid family and medical leave program of up to 12 weeks per year, turned in their signatures Friday.
Last week, proponents of Initiative No. 257
turned in their signatures. The measure would allow the three
communities that have legalized casino betting to eliminate the $100
maximum bet on a game. Backers include former state Senate President
Bill Cadman. Voters in those three communities — Blackhawk, Central City
and Cripple Creek — will also have to approve those changes. Initiative No. 295,
backed by Colorado Rising Action, targets state enterprises, a
state-run business allowed under the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights. The
ballot measure asks that any enterprise created after Jan. 1, 2021, that
could generate $100 million or more in five years through fees be sent
to the ballot for voter approval. This is a statutory measure that will
need voter approval at 50% plus one.
If at first, or second, you
don't succeed, try again through the ballot box: Republican state Sen.
Jerry Sonnenberg of Sterling has tried for the last two years to win
legislative approval for a reduction in the state income tax rate, from
4.63% to 4.5%. But in a Democratic-controlled General Assembly, and
without the support of Gov. Jared Polis, who has campaigned on a similar
reduction, that idea has failed to win support. So Initiative No. 306,
which also has the support of Jon Caldara of the Independence
Institute, is also awaiting signature verification from the Secretary of
State.
An additional 11 initiatives have petitions due Monday, but proponents are not expected to turn in petitions.
Among
those that won't make the ballot: a measure (No. 305) to lengthen the
statute of limitations on ethics complaints never actually sought
petition signatures and instead focused an advertising campaign
targeting Democratic U.S. Senate candidate John Hickenlooper. Initiative
No. 271 would have realigned Colorado's income tax rates so that higher
wage earners paid more and lower-income earners paid less. It was
backed by the Colorado Fiscal Institute but fell victim to difficulties
in gathering petition signatures due to the pandemic, according to the
institute's Carol Hedges. Initiative No. 292, which also would have
raised taxes on tobacco and vaping products, was pulled in favor of the
measure submitted by the General Assembly. Two similar measures backed
by the Independence Institute — initiatives 293 and 315 — also were
withdrawn.
Four others, tied to the oil and gas industry —
initiatives 284, 304, 311 and 312 — have been withdrawn. The first two
were pulled by Protect Colorado after Gov. Jared Polis said he would
oppose any ballot measures — pro or con — targeting oil and gas to give
Senate Bill 19-181 time to reach full implementation.
Protect
Colorado spokeswoman Laurie Cipriano said Monday that they had collected
more than 185,000 signatures for their ballot measures. "We appreciate
and respect the Coloradans who signed our petitions and we will continue
to engage them to protect Colorado’s energy industry and provide
residents with an environmentally sound and cost-effective source of
energy. Our agreement with Governor Polis provides legislative and
regulatory certainty for this vital Colorado industry."
Protect
Colorado vowed to continue working with Polis, the legislature and key
stakeholders "to ensure SB181 is implemented smoothly.”
The latter
two ballot measures were withdrawn in May. "It's not the right year for
an oil-and-gas ballot war," said proponent David Davia, vice president
of the Colorado Association of Mechanical & Plumbing Contractors.
Efforts
to put ballot initiative No. 174 — which revived environmental attempts
to enact bigger setback limits from oil and gas drilling sites — also
went by the wayside after the state Supreme Court ruled petition
signatures could not be gathered online.
The last measure with
petitions due Monday is Initiative No. 200, which seeks to expunge
criminal records. Stephen Ball with The Opportunity Act told Colorado
Politics they turned in signatures Monday afternoon but fell well short
of the requirements. Petitions must have 124,632 valid signatures, and
the rule of thumb is to turn in at least 150% of that number.
One
crisp winter morning in Sweden, a cute little girl named Greta woke up
to a perfect world, one where there were no petroleum products ruining
the earth. She tossed aside her cotton sheet and wool blanket and
stepped out onto a dirt floor covered with willow bark that had been
pulverized with rocks. “What’s this?” she asked. “Pulverized willow bark,” replied her fairy godmother. “What happened to the carpet?” she asked. “The carpet was nylon, which is made from butadiene and hydrogen cyanide, both made from petroleum,” came the response.
Greta smiled, acknowledging that adjustments are necessary to save the
planet, and moved to the sink to brush her teeth where instead of a
toothbrush, she found a willow, mangled on one end to expose wood fibre
bristles. “Your old toothbrush?” noted her godmother, “Also nylon.” “Where’s the water?” asked Greta. “Down the road in the canal,” replied her godmother, ‘Just make sure you avoid water with cholera in it” “Why’s there no running water?” Greta asked, becoming a little peevish.
“Well,” said her godmother, who happened to teach engineering at MIT,
“Where do we begin?” There followed a long monologue about how sink
valves need elastomer seats and how copper pipes contain copper, which
has to be mined and how it’s impossible to make all-electric
earth-moving equipment with no gear lubrication or tires and how ore has
to be smelted to a make metal, and that’s tough to do with only
electricity as a source of heat, and even if you use only electricity,
the wires need insulation, which is petroleum-based, and though most of
Sweden’s energy is produced in an environmentally friendly way because
of hydro and nuclear, if you do a mass and energy balance around the
whole system, you still need lots of petroleum products like lubricants
and nylon and rubber for tires and asphalt for filling potholes and wax
and iPhone plastic and elastic to hold your underwear up while operating
a copper smelting furnace and . . . “What’s for breakfast?” interjected Greta, whose head was hurting. "Fresh, range-fed chicken eggs,” replied her godmother. “Raw.” “How so, raw?” inquired Greta.
“Well, . . .” And once again, Greta was told about the need for
petroleum products like transformer oil and scores of petroleum products
essential for producing metals for frying pans and in the end was
educated about how you can’t have a petroleum-free world and then cook
eggs. Unless you rip your front fence up and start a fire and carefully
cook your egg in an orange peel like you do in Boy Scouts. Not that you
can find oranges in Sweden anymore. “But I want poached eggs like my Aunt Tilda makes,” lamented Greta. “Tilda died this morning,” the godmother explained. “Bacterial pneumonia.” “What?!” interjected Greta. “No one dies of bacterial pneumonia! We have penicillin.”
“Not anymore,” explained godmother “The production of penicillin
requires chemical extraction using isobutyl acetate, which, if you know
your organic chemistry, is petroleum-based. Lots of people are dying,
which is problematic because there’s not any easy way of disposing of
the bodies since backhoes need hydraulic oil and crematoriums can’t
really burn many bodies using as fuel Swedish fences and furniture,
which are rapidly disappearing - being used on the black market for
roasting eggs and staying warm.” This represents only a fraction of
Greta’s day, a day without microphones to exclaim into and a day
without much food, and a day without carbon-fibre boats to sail in, but a
day that will save the planet. Tune in tomorrow when Greta needs a root canal and learns how Novocain is synthesized.
Fifty-one years after the Summer of Love, the draft records of the
sitting president, and at least one of the Democrats who want to replace
him, are issues in the 2020 campaign. In recent weeks, two of the
military veterans in the race — Mayor Pete Buttigieg and Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton — have been highlighting Trump’s draft record and their own military service.
