It's a shame for most modern Americans that the fellow
pictured below is no longer with us.
He perhaps would make the perfect candidate.
He perhaps would make the perfect candidate.
- He promised free education and free health care.
- He promised jobs for citizens via huge government programs and infrastructure.
- He promised jobs for citizens by controlling with government power who could produce what and who could trade with whom, when, where, and under what conditions.
- He was a socialist who went after evil capitalists because no business was larger than the monopoly of legalized power held by his government.
- He thought large segments of the population were deplorable.
- He had much foreign policy and international relations experience.
- He was a law and order kind of "leader," and his police forces were all too willing to "stop and frisk" with or without just cause.
- His political platform rested on the authority of modern science as he created a government featuring large bureaus staffed with highly educated experts and regulators, including PhDs, MDs, lawyers, accountants, scientists, engineers, etc.
Why, in this short list alone there is at least one thing and maybe more that almost every American today wants and thinks is important!
Except, that is, we few who still cherish freedom above government control and the illusion of free stuff.
