from the agency. This bug only affected Samsung Galaxy S8 phones. The
only problem is FBI agent Peter Strzok had a Galaxy S5.

A federal law enforcement official is now claiming thousands of FBI cellphones were affected by the same technical glitch that resulted in the loss of over 50,000 text messages between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok.
From Fox News: Thousands of FBI cellphones were affected by the technical glitch that the DOJ says prevented five months’ worth of text messages between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page from being stored or uploaded into the bureau’s archive system, federal law enforcement officials tell Fox News.
The missing messages have been at the center of a storm of controversy on Capitol Hill, after the DOJ notified congressional committees that there is a gap in records between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017. Strzok and Page are under scrutiny after it was revealed that the former Robert Mueller team members exchanged a series of anti-Trump texts during the presidential campaign.
The gap in records covered a crucial period, raising suspicion among GOP lawmakers as to how those messages disappeared.

President Trump has taken to Twitter and called out the FBI for losing 50,000 text messages between FBI agents Lisa Page and Peter Strzok.
"Where are the 50,000 important text messages between FBI lovers Lisa Page and Peter Strzok?" He asked.
President Trump followed with a shot at their sad explanation for the lost text messages. "Blaming Samsung!" he ended, referring to the FBI's claim that the lost text messages were a result of a technical "glitch".
