Obama Hints At Leaving Office Before His Term Is Up?

Everybody knows that President Obama, having won reelection in November and having been sworn into office again on January, has three-and-a-half years left to serve as President of the United States. Everyone that is, except Obama.
Appearing before an audience in San Jose, Obama addressed the spying scandals that have recently rocked his administration. Even his political allies have been disturbed to learn that the NSA has been gathering phone call information for millions of Americans and that it’s been using PRISM to sweep the internet for audio, video, photographs, emails, and web searches conducted over America’s major internet providers: Yahoo, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, YouTube, Apple, and Skype. You’re not imagining it – you are being watched.
The point Obama wanted to make during his extemporaneous remarks to the San Jose audience is that, one day, he too will be a private citizen, and he expects to be high on the list of people whose communications are being watched. “We’re all in this together” was his theme. But what struck people watching the video was Obama’s peculiar formulation about the remainder of his term in office:
I will leave this office at some point – sometime in the next three-and-a-half years.
Really? According to the Constitution, Mr. President, you’ll be leaving immediately after three-and-a-half years have passed. If you’re contemplating leaving before then, what do you know that we don’t know?
Are you ill? We wouldn’t know because your medical records are kept secret. Are you assuming you’ll get impeached because of the Benghazi scandal, or the IRS scandal, or the AP scandal, or the Fox news scandals, or the NSA scandals? Or do you know about something even bigger than the scandals that have already burst forth in the past few months?
Or maybe that was just a Freudian slip from a man who feels that his mission in America is done: He’s ruined the economy, set the Middle East aflame, alienated America’s allies, empowered Russia, bowed down to Sharia law, weakened America’s border, and put a massive spy system in place. At this point, what’s left?
