Report: Barack Obama Just Hired a Criminal Defense Attorney

Most people have heard of the term “lawyer up”.  It is what someone does when they are potentially facing criminal prosecution or a lawsuit, and they hire the best attorney that they can find.
So when we hear word that the White House has just hired a top criminal defense attorney, one has to wonder why President Obama needs to “lawyer up.”
Perhaps it has something to do with the new Benghazi Select Committee that is stacked full of former prosecuting attorneys, or maybe because the House if seeking Special Prosecutors to investigate the IRS targeting scandal.

Back in April, President Obama quietly hired Neil Eggleston as his new White House counsel.  You might be asking who that is, and why it is important.

Eggleston is the kind of guy you go to when someone tells you, “time to lawyer up.” He’s a veteran at cleaning up ethics messes for politicians, most notably Bill Clinton, whom he aided during the Whitewater probes and the Monica Lewinsky affair, double entendre intended.
But that’s not nearly all. He represented Rahm Emanuel during the scandal surrounding former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, as well as Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) and George W. Bush political director Sara Taylor when scandals touched them, Clinton Cabinet members Federico Pena and Alexis Herman during corruption probes, and various business people involved in “complex criminal investigations” according to the New York Times.

So now that Obama has “lawyered up,” it leaves us wondering exactly why.  He has maintained throughout his Presidency that he has done nothing wrong, ever.  But the hire of a lawyer like this leads one to ask, is Obama afraid of what may come out from the Benghazi Committee or the IRS scandal, or is there something else he is worried about?
A new book is coming out this summer laying out the case for the impeachment of Obama.  There are numerous reasons for which Obama could be impeached immediately.  There is an even longer list of questionable actions, crimes, scandals and outright corruption that has been committed by Obama and his administration.
Obama undoubtedly has something to hide.  The hiring of a top criminal attorney does nothing to dismiss the many allegations against the President, but instead adds more weight to them.
