Bongino; Raid On Clinton Whistleblower Is Deep State Conspiracy To Protect Itself

Former Secret Service agent and Fox News commentator Dan Bongino is livid at the raid on the home of a Clinton Foundation and Uranium One whistleblower.
Bongino and Fox News host Tucker Carlson both suspect that the raid was conducted to protect the deep state actors who were involved in the raid.
The Daily Caller News Foundation first reported on the raid.
FBI agents raided the home of a recognized Department of Justice whistleblower who privately delivered documents pertaining to the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One to a government watchdog, according to the whistleblower’s attorney.
The Justice Department’s inspector general was informed that the documents show that federal officials failed to investigate potential criminal activity regarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation and Rosatom, the Russian company that purchased Uranium One, a document reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation alleges.
The delivered documents also show that then-FBI Director Robert Mueller failed to investigate allegations of criminal misconduct pertaining to Rosatom and to other Russian government entities attached to Uranium One, the document reviewed by TheDCNF alleges. Mueller is now the special counsel investigating whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.
“The bureau raided my client to seize what he legally gave Congress about the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One,” the whistleblower’s lawyer, Michael Socarras, told TheDCNF, noting that he considered the FBI’s raid to be an “outrageous disregard” of whistleblower protections.
Sixteen agents arrived at the home of Dennis Nathan Cain, a former FBI contractor, on the morning of Nov. 19 and raided his Union Bridge, Maryland, home, Socarras told TheDCNF.
The raid was permitted by a court order signed on Nov. 15 by federal magistrate Stephanie A. Gallagher in the U.S. District Court for Baltimore and obtained by TheDCNF.
A special agent from the FBI’s Baltimore division, who led the raid, charged that Cain possessed stolen federal property and demanded entry to his private residence, Socarras told TheDCNF.
“On Nov. 19, the FBI conducted court authorized law enforcement activity in the Union Bridge, Maryland area,” bureau spokesman Dave Fitz told TheDCNF. “At this time, we have no further comment.”
Bongino and Carlson suspect that there was more to it.
“Some people believe that this could be really bad for the Clintons and be kind of a tying up of the Clinton Foundation case that appears to be being investigated by John Huber right now, the United States attorney,” Bongino said.
“On the other hand, the people involved in this Uranium One case are all people who are knee-deep in the Spygate saga. Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, was a prosecuting United States attorney on the precursor case to Uranium One,” he said.
“Bob Mueller was the FBI director [on that disaster]. So forgive me for not being willing to give everyone a pass on a suspicious raid on a whistle-blower’s home. I’m not taking anybody at their word anymore, and neither should you,” he told Carlson.
Carlson raged on the hypocrisy of the left.
“For generations the left elevated the idea of whistle-blowing to a sanctified place,” he said. “Whistle-blowers were protected. They are protected in law and they’re protected because liberals wanted them protected. And yet I haven’t heard anybody at the left complain about the FBI raid on this guys house. Why is that?”
Bongino agreed.
“They have now flipped the script entirely to actually defending weaponized government,” he said. “It’s unbelievable the transformation that we see.
“It’s not in dispute that there are serious abnormalities in the way that Donald Trump investigation has been conducted, versus the way the Clinton investigation and the Uranium One investigations were sidelined. But nobody is even remotely curious on the left about this. It’s really incredible,” Bongino said.
