SUPER BOWL LESSON IN ONE MINUTE
Why are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers so good at football?
Because the Kansas City Chiefs, the Green Bay Packers, and every other NFL team are really good at football.
To win the Super Bowl, Tampa Bay had to compete against and beat some very good teams.
The lesson for those paying attention: Competition produces excellence. In fact, nothing produces excellence more effectively or more consistently than competition.
Millions of our fellow citizens, however, forget this important lesson the moment they turn their attention away from sports to, well, virtually any other subject, including business, education, and health care.
In other areas of life, millions of our fellow citizens prefer regulatory control and uniformity of mediocrity over robust competition, at the same moment they cheer for unprecedented levels of excellence in sports produced by competition.
Happy Monday!
