Meet The Climate Scientist Barack Obama Wants Silenced…

Hers is a career of impeccable, peer-reviewed note. She ranks among the brightest and most convincing of her climate science peers and yet, Professor Judith Curry has been cast out for daring to challenge the manufactured scientific consensus regarding human-made climate change. It has been, and continues to be a campaign to silence a scientist because she has the audacity to actually apply unbiased science to the question of climate change and in doing so, endangers the multi-TRILLION dollar global climate change industry that far-left politicians like Barack Obama and Al Gore have become integral parts of, an endeavor that made Al Gore many millions of dollars and Mr. Obama has every intention of doing the same for himself once he leaves the White House.
It is the single greatest scientific sham in the history of humankind and Judith Curry is putting the entirety of her academic career on the line as she works to expose the fraud.

What makes the increasingly aggressive attacks against Professor Curry more interesting is the fact she is willing to concede human carbon-based emissions can contribute to a warming of the planet. She simply states, and does so with considerable scientific evidence, that the rate of warming is likely much-much slower than the climate alarmists would have the general public believe.
The reason for wanting a much more dire and urgent climate change sales pitch is likely quite simple – MONEY.
Al Gore created his own vast personal wealth over nearly twenty years ago by shouting how the ice caps would melt, the oceans would rise, and mega-storms would wipe out cities across the globe – none of which actually took place. The urgency of his sales pitch made for a good product. It was no different than the doom and gloom, the end is near religious tent shows of the early 19th Century where someone professing to speak the word of God bellowed to the fearful masses that time was running out only to then remind them to please leave as much as possible in the donation plate as it was passed around before moving on to the next community down the road where the dire warnings and request for money were repeated over and over again.

Professor Curry is simply stating none of us need to worry so much over what is a very gradually warming climate, but that kind of science is not conducive to mass hysteria and the money such hysteria can raise and if you are Barack Obama preparing to live as a very wealthy man funded in part by climate change fears, you do what you can to silence far more moderate (and actual science-based voices) like Professor Curry.
Take this comment from a recent interview the professor gave to the Spectator UK:
“…There’s no way I would have done this if I hadn’t been a tenured professor, fairly near the end of my career. If I were seeking a new job in the US academy, I’d be pretty much unemployable….there’s no way I could get a government research grant to do the research I want to do. Since then, I’ve stopped judging my career by these metrics. I’m doing what I do to stand up for science and to do the right thing.”
Those are the words of a highly regarded scientist who has spent much of their career studying the complex intricacies of the earth’s climate admitting to the enormous pressure that is applied to others within the scientific community to conform to the current climate change hysteria. If you are starting out your career, you will not have a career unless you conform. If you have the protection of tenure, your words will be ignored and funding for your research will cease of you deny the alarmist climate change model.
That isn’t science, that is manipulation of thought to feed a pre-determined template and it is exactly the kind of bullying intimidation politicians like Barack Obama so fully embrace in this era of divisive science, politics, and media.

Professor Curry likens the current scientific environment to the McCarthy-era where voices are silenced and careers ended, all in the name of what figures like Barack Obama call “science.”
