Generals and Admirals Come Forward With Benghazi Bombshell

Monday, January 19th, 2015

Multiple generals and admirals just came forward with a major new report about what’s really going on with the Benghazi investigation. This could be bad news for Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.).
The military leaders formed a special organization to get to the truth about Benghazi — the Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi (CCB) — and the following are some of the surprising conclusions and facts they’re bringing to light.
CCB member U.S Army Maj. Gen. Valley says he believes Gowdy “has received much pressure not to get to the truth, and we are now coming to the conclusion that there is no longer any intention in Washington, by the leadership of both the Democratic and Republican Parties, to get to the truth.”
Valley went on to say that “An honest investigation into Benghazi would prove treasonous acts at the very top of the White House and the State Department, and a continuing cover-up in Congress that now involves the Republican leadership and especially House Speaker John Boehner.”
The CCB issued a statement in April 2014 on these treasonous acts, including their finding that the U.S. had provided weapons to al Qaeda-linked Libyan rebels and that “on the day of the attacks in Benghazi, whether or not there was an official order to stand down, the result was the same.
“There were military assets, for example, at the U.S. base in Sigonella, in Sicily, Italy, that could have been brought to bear, and perhaps could have saved the lives of the two men killed at the CIA Annex, the scene of the second attack that night. The failure to attempt to rescue these Americans amounts to a dereliction of duty.”
The Commission also found evidence “that there was a stand-down order given to the Annex Security Guards at the CIA Annex after the attack began at the Special Mission Compound, one mile away, where Ambassador Chris Stevens and information officer Sean Smith were killed.” (H/T WND).
The Commission believes that Barack Obama likely communicated significant information about the weapons trafficking to the House Republican leadership, who gave their approval to the program.
If that is the case, then the House Republican leadership has nearly as much motivation as Obama to keep the truth from coming out because it would implicate them all in knowingly engaging in potentially treasonous activities.
This then brings some CCB members to the conclusion that Gowdy is being pressured either from above in his own party or externally (read “Obama”).
“Trey Gowdy’s Select Committee is proceeding at glacial speed…It is unclear where Gowdy is going, and the signs are not good,”  U.S. Navy four-star Admiral and former commander-in-chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet James Lyons said.
Retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Charles Jones, also noted his concern about the House Committee. “I think Gowdy is serious, and I think he is a real patriot, but I think he has been warned away from the final conclusion or he’s been threatened,” Jones said to WND.
“I’ve been working very closely with the Citizens’ Commission, and I think Gowdy, if he doesn’t go any further than he has, has either been warned within the Republican Party or threatened externally.”
But for the now, at least some CCB members want to see Gowdy’s investigation play out and continue to have some amount of faith in him.
“At the time Gowdy was picked, all of us were ecstatic,” said Roger Aronoff, “Gowdy was the one guy that, if we were asked, the Citizens’ Commission would have said was the right guy.”
Aronoff continued, “We’ve been publicly hesitant to criticize Gowdy, because we’re still hopeful he’s going to be the right guy… We’re trying now to pressure them [the Committee] from the sidelines, and we don’t want to come out blasting Gowdy, saying that the ‘fix is in.’ We still feel the select committee is there, and we want to give Gowdy the benefit of the doubt to see what he does.”
Aronoff, however, did say he was frustrated with some of the early hearings, saying, “Those hearings were pretty bland, not really getting to the heart of the matter.”
Citizens’ Commission member Pete Hoekstra, was very clear with WND that he still thinks Gowdy can produce a good investigation.
“I’m not anywhere close to giving up on the work of Gowdy’s committee,” Hoekstra said. “The good thing is that Gowdy and his select committee have jurisdiction across all the different departments and agencies of government that are or might be involved in the Benghazi attack.”
We at Conservative Tribune think Gowdy is simply investigating as any top-notch prosecutor would. He is slowly, methodically sifting through mountains of testimony, documents, and other evidence, working to fit all the pieces together.
Gowdy may also be setting up for a proverbial two-fer, waiting until the perfect moment to subpoena presumptive 2016 presidential contender Hillary Clinton, who was Secretary of State when the Benghazi attack occurred.
U.S Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, U.S. Navy four-star Admiral James Lyons, U.S. Air Force General Tom McInerney (all retired) and Accuracy in Media Editor Roger Aronoff all founded the CCB because they were concerned that the formal investigation into the Benghazi attack would be stymied by political interests.
