POLL SHOWS LEVEL OF DEM INDOCTRINATION, ALMOST HALF LOVE SOCIALISM

Democrats really like socialism, according to a poll conducted earlier this month, YouGov said Monday. In fact, YouGov found that Democrats view socialism just as favorably as they view capitalism, with both economic systems seen as favorable by 43 percent of those polled. That means nearly half of Democrats love socialism.
Moreover, YouGov found that one-third of millenials view socialism favorably. Only nine percent of Republicans view socialism favorably as do 22 percent of independents. A vast majority of Republicans — 79 percent — view capitalism favorably. Fifteen percent were uncertain if they viewed socialism in a favorable light while 28 percent of Democrats were uncertain if capitalism was better than socialism.
Capitalism won overall — with just 52 percent finding it better than socialism. Only 26 percent of all respondents viewed socialism more favorably, while 23 percent were uncertain.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is the only other candidate in the Democratic primary besides Hillary Clinton. He is also the only member of Congress to openly describe himself as a socialist. Clinton doesn’t describe herself as a socialist, but has expressed support for Marxist policy, including redistribution of wealth.
It’s also not surprising to find that liberals tend to support socialism. An article at the Baltimore Sun, for example, heaps praise on Sanders’ socialism while mocking conservatives who oppose it.
“Finally, conservatives have a real socialist to go crazy about,” the Sun said. “Instead of concocting dark fairytales about how Barack Obama, a very conventional liberal Democrat, is a secret Marxist who wants to destroy the American way of life, they can shriek about Bernie Sanders, the independent Vermont senator who has never shied away from the socialist label.”
Some of Sanders’ ideas praised by the Sun is “free college tuition,” which anyone with a basic understanding of economics knows really isn’t free. It just gets paid by overworked and overtaxed taxpayers already burdened by supporting an ever-growing government.
The Sun also praised a “$1 trillion program to rebuild the nation’s roads and bridges.” That’s one trillion — with a “t” — dollars added to an already bloated budget that would have hit the $4.2 trillion mark if Barack Obama had his way. That includes adding over $6 trillion to the national debt, bringing that figure to nearly $25 trillion by 2026.
Naturally, all this includes higher taxes on the rich, something the Sun and Bernie Sanders likes. There’s only one problem with that idea — it’s been tried and it doesn’t work.
It was also a central part of Obama’s proposed 2016 budget, But, Michael Busler explained, “this essentially means tax increases on investors who supply the capital to grow the U.S. economy as well as added tax burdens for businesses and estates.” And at some point, the money will run out. Then what?
“The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money,” Margaret Thatcher said. According to the poll, just under a third agreed with Winston Churchill that “socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy” while 34 percent agreed with former Soviet dictator Mikhail Gorbachev that “Jesus was the first socialist, the first to seek a better life for mankind.”
