5 Quotes That Show Why Elizabeth Warren Should Never Be President

But she has come under fire for her radical, often far left views on topics ranging from climate change to capitalism. Views such as these are unfortunately becoming more common.
So, in honor of her announcement, here are five her wackiest moments showing just how out of touch she is.
5. Warren contradicted herself on election rigging in 2016. Twice
During the 2016 election the vast majority of polls were against Donald Trump. He complained and said that the polls were rigged against him. Warren’s response was quick.
“You’re not losing because it’s rigged.” She said. “You’re losing because we see through your creepy bullying.”
Fair enough. But she took a much different tune almost immediately when fellow progressive Bernie Sanders was defeated by Hillary Clinton. When Jake Tapper directly asked Warren whether or not the primary was rigged in Hillary’s favor she gave an equally direct answer: “Yes”.
And believing that our electoral system as a whole is rigged towards Republicans, she took a strong stance against the electoral college.
This stance came after Hillary lost the electoral college of course. Until then it wasn’t rigged at all and anyone questioning the veracity of our elections was a threat to democracy.
Should someone this painfully inconsistent be president?
4. She said business owners don’t create jobs, the roads do.
Roads are a favorite subject among libertarians. And according to Elizabeth Warren they are the only reason anyone becomes rich!
According to her: “There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody.”
I’m sure Bill Gates and Steve Jobs, both of whom created massive progress, would disagree. But her reasoning flawless! She goes on to explain: “You built a factory out there, good for you. But I want to be clear. You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for”.
Of course she ignores the countless examples of high-quality private roads. And at a time when public roads are in a state of decay it might not be the best example to bring up.
In the same speech she amusingly also talks about how “You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory…”. Seeing as she still refuses to condemn Antifa by name, this is extremely ironic.
Having a president with no knowledge on what grows the economy would be disastrous. It could potentially derail the ‘tremendous’ economic progress we have seen under President Trump.
3. Her view on the budget is dizzyingly incoherent
When asked by CNBC journalist John Harwood about how high taxes should be she avoided the question and gave this strange response:
“Here’s how I look at budgets, and taxes are at the heart of this. A lot of people think they’re just numbers. They’re not. They are the expression of our values. The values of the Republican Party that passed those tax cuts are to give $1.5 trillion away to the richest Americans and the biggest corporations, and let everybody else pick up the crumbs.”
Not only is this answer to a simple question strange, its flat out wrong!
Budgets and taxes are literally a collection of numbers that determine our government’s ability to pay off debts. Not some vague expression of values.
But more importantly she is wrong when she says that these cuts only went to the richest americans. Whereas the middle class saw its tax rate drop by three points, from 25% to 22%, the top earners saw a slightly smaller decrease of only 2.6%.
Trump’s tax cut also doubles the child tax credit and makes the interest on student loan payments deductible. This gives money back to families who need it the most.
With Elizabeth Warren in power, much of the hard-fought for tax relief our families are experiencing will be thrown out the window and students could be forced to pay taxes on their student loans.
2. She quoted Taylor Swift to explain how she responds to criticism
This is the funniest one yet. According to the Huffington Post she said:
“As one of the great philosophers of our time has said, ‘Haters going to hate, hate, hate hate, hate, ‘” Warren said. “Knowing who you are helps you ‘Shake It Off.’”
This ranks up there with Hillary Clinton’s infamous ‘Pokemon Go to the polls’ as one of the cringiest moments in modern political history. Democrats really don’t know how to connect with kids unless they pander, which has hilarious results. Remember when Hillary Clinton tried to dance?
Someone this out of touch really shouldn’t be president. At least for the sake of our ears.
1. The Pocahontas scandal
More than anything else this scandal, along with her ridiculous quote in the fall of 2018, will haunt her to the grave.
When it was revealed that she listed herself as native in order to get hired at Harvard, she said: “I am very proud of my heritage. These are my family stories. This is what my brothers and I were told by my mom and my dad, my mamaw and my papaw. This is our lives. And I’m very proud of it.”
This quote will be cited till the day she dies as proof of her extreme dishonesty.
Trump has repeatedly mocked this gaffe, calling her ‘Pocahontas’ after the famed Native American princess. When he made the joke at a Navajo veterans event, they laughed. Native Americans as a whole are extremely unhappy with how Warren used her supposed ancestry to get a job at Harvard.
But the nail in the coffin came from her own hands when she released a DNA test as evidence of her native heritage. This was meant to end a scandal that her aides correctly viewed as dangerous to her 2020 bid for the presidency.
Unfortunately, the test completely disproved her claim; revealing that she was only 1/1024th native and 99.9% white, making her literally whiter than ivory soap.
If someone is this dishonest about their own heritage, how can they be trusted to tell us the truth on anything?
Fortunately, we likely won’t see a Warren presidency. More centrist candidates such as Joe Biden and Beto O’Rourke (who, despite his rhetoric, is surprisingly bipartisan) are much more popular among the Democratic voting base.
And the socialist vote will be almost certainly be controlled by Bernie Sanders should he choose to run.
But despite her likely inability to win the primary, it’s still amusing to go over her insane quotes and their disastrous effects.
