I have always felt pretty safe growing up as an American. Until recently, the idea that terrorists might attack my family has never really crossed my mind . The problem is, now we are finding that the terrorists are getting smarter, and Americans are growing more complacent. This could be a deadly combination. People who want to destroy America have figured out that they don’t have to wipe out the whole population, they only need to take away our basic needs, and we will kill each other.
An Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) is a short burst of energy that will completely fry any and all electronics. It can be brought about by exploding a nuclear device at a high altitude, or even just by a solar flare.

Peter Vincent Pry, a member of the Congressional EMP Commission and executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security claims that an EMP event could wipe out 90% of America’s population in only ONE YEAR! This is a very real threat, not conspiracy theory or science fiction. The Washington Free Beacon quotes Pry saying a, “natural EMP from a geomagnetic superstorm, like the 1859 Carrington Event or 1921 Railroad Storm, and nuclear EMP attack from terrorists or rogue states, as practiced by North Korea during the nuclear crisis of 2013, are both existential threats that could kill 9-of-10 Americans through starvation, disease and societal collapse,”
The Heritage Foundation has reported; an EMP attack with a warhead detonated 25 to 300 miles above the U.S. mainland “ would fundamentally change the world.”
“Airplanes would fall from the sky; most cars would be inoperable; electrical devices would fail. Water, sewer and electrical networks would fail simultaneously. Systems of banking, energy, transportation, food production and delivery, water, emergency services and even cyberspace would collapse.”
The Texas Dept of Public Safety believes they have found evidence that ISIS already has plans to orchestrate an attack on our power grid. North Korea is capable of doing this right now.
Think about it, where would you get food? Where would you get clean water? How would you get medicine? How would you survive? Most people think that these are questions they will never have to ask themselves, those people are wrong. Our enemies have realized that to take out the entire country, you don’t have to kill everyone. You only have to take away what they need to survive, and sit back and watch.
