President Obama has made it clear time and time again that he is not afraid to act unilaterally, even though his approval rating from Congress has dropped to only 6%.
And who would approve of a leader who has made it clear that he sees no problem going around the law to fuel his agenda. This weekend, he caused quite the controversy after publicly ripping into Republicans, claiming that they were “using taxpayer dollars” to sue him.
“You hear some of them, sue him, impeach him. Really? For What?” Obama asked of the audience, clearly addressing Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin’s call for action. “You’re going to sue me for doing my job? You’re going to use taxpayer money to sue me for doing my job when you don’t do your job.”
President Obama clearly fails to acknowledge that he has taken any actions that overstep his bounds, and in fact, continues to attempt to defend himself by cutting down the actions of other presidents.
“It’s not clear how it is the Republicans didn’t seem to mind when President Bush took more executive actions than I did,” Obama concluded. “Maybe it’s just me they don’t like. I don’t know.”
Sorry, Obama. We’re not letting you play the victim on this one. If Republicans don’t like you, maybe it’s because you’ve done everything you can to undercut the Constitution.
