Is Obama Our Savior Or Tormentor?

An observant reporter at the Democratic National Convention came across a shocking piece of promotion for sale that seems to suggest “God so loved the world, He sent us … Barack Obama.” The Cult of Obama staggers on. The streets near the convention zone were loaded with vendors selling for-us-by-us Obama merchandise.
Among the available merchandise was a photo calendar attributed to James Hickman and offered by a man who reportedly claimed to be Hickman’s nephew. Most of the calendar’s months are filled with complimentary photos of Obama and factoids about the history of black Americans. Then when you turn to the month of August, you see a photo featuring the short-form birth certificate originally purported to be Obama’s and then juxtaposed to that image are the words, “Heaven Sent: For God so loved the world, that he have his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16.” The calendar page, with Obama’s purported birth certificate and a separate photo of sunlight streaming down on the sitting president’s profile, seems to suggest the “heaven sent” is not Jesus, but Obama. Now you tell me whether Christians should be in up in arms because a man who does not share their beliefs is purportedly their savior. The verse is being used to denigrate the very source of their faith. These people are so ignorant and delusional they actually believe Obama was sent from Heaven; but instead of God sending his son, I think this one was sent by Allah.
Maggie Mertens, the associate editor at the campus paper at Massachusetts’ Smith College in 2008, said, “Obama is my homeboy. And I’m not saying that because he’s black – I’m saying that in reference to those Urban Outfitters T-shirts from a couple years ago that said, ‘Jesus is my homeboy.’ Yes, I just said it. Obama is my Jesus.” “While you may be overtly religious and find this to be idol-worshiping, or may be overtly politically correct and just know that everything in that sentence could be found offensive, I’m afraid it’s true anyway,” she wrote. This is an example of how totally dense and blind most of our university students really are. Where do they get these ideas from?
Another example of maniacal interpretation of events is an editorial, written on the occasion of the legislative vote in favor of Obama’s plan for a health care takeover by the government, which cited “the right of every American not to be financially shipwrecked when their health fails” as well as the “biggest ever financial support package in America’s history, a major disarmament agreement and the quickest-ever re-establishment of American reputation.” The editor opined further: “On the other hand, we have Jesus’ miracles that everyone still remembers, but which only benefited a few. At the same time, we have the wonderful parables about his life and deeds that we know from the New Testament, but which have been interpreted so differently over the past 2000 years that it is impossible to give an unequivocal result of his work.”
This kind of wandering gibberish would only appeal to the most delusional of followers. These people have no idea of what the purpose for Jesus coming to us the first time was. He wasn’t crucified to save a few; He saved the entire world. He sacrificed Himself to open the gates of heaven so all of the just could enter heaven. By the way, if these people really believe what they wrote and don’t repent, they won’t enter heaven; they will end up in the other place.
To explain what mass hysteria can do, especially among the so-called elite, there is a web site out there entitled “Is Obama the Messiah?” The site was topped by an Obama quote strategically ripped from a Jan. 7, 2008, speech at Dartmouth College just before the New Hampshire primary in which he told students, “A light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany, and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote” for Obama. Now that demonstrates the kind of thing that Obama does when he appears at these different events off camera.
He is so narcissistic that I believe he believes he is the chosen one and can do no wrong. If you look at the sorry state of affairs we are in today, Obama has not accepted responsibility for any of it. Even though he has been president for almost 4 years, he blames every misfortune on someone or something else. I am sure he will find someone to blame for the debacle that is going on in the Middle East. Maybe he is setting Israel and Romney up to be the fall guys for thousands of Muslims overrunning our embassies and the consulate in Benghazi.
