Freshman Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, stormed Washington in 2013 determined to defend the Constitution and represent the American people over political interests in Washington.
When he first took office in January, few could have predicted the incredible year Cruz would have as a United States senator — both in his controversial fights with his Senate colleagues and his wild popularity with American conservatives.
