I'm going to come out of the gate running and let you know what an idiot you are. Some of the smartest people I know are one of those dumb farmers you talked about. What other profession puts as much faith into their job than a farmer? Faith that the weather will cooperate. Faith that a cow will have a healthy calf. Faith that those little seeds will make enough income to feed their own family. But I'm sure you don't know about faith, anyway.

That 2% grows plants to clothe you. Some of that 2% grows plants to
make detergent to wash your fancy suits.
Those farmers aren't just growing and raising the food you eat, wear, and use. They are also instilling in their family work ethic and faith that will continue to feed and clothe your loved ones for generations to come.
Next time you decide to insult a group of people, Mr. Bloomberg, I wouldn't choose the hard-working, blue collared people who made this country what it is today. I'm also sure there are many farmers out there that would volunteer for you to come to their farm and see how much gray matter they have. Be prepared though you may need a pair of jeans, some long johns, and a little faith.
