Trey Gowdy let Fox News in on a secret about Trump that no one could believe
Now that the Senate acquitted Donald Trump, all of Washington, D.C. is trying to figure out what comes next.
President Trump gave a preview in a speech at the White House following his exoneration.
That’s when Trey Gowdy let Fox News in on a secret about Trump that no one could believe.
During his speech at the White House President Trump described the
year’s long effort to use lies, smears, and hoaxes to bring him down.
The President noted that it began with the Russian collusion lie and continued with the Ukraine hoax.
Fox News Channel’s Martha MacCallum had on former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy to discuss the President’s speech.
The Fake News Media predictably slammed the President’s speech as “vulgar” and “vindictive.”
But Gowdy explained the President was only speaking the truth.
Gowdy detailed how senior intelligence community officials in 2016 and 2017 launched a phony investigation into Trump and Russian collusion while harboring intense anti-Trump bias.
“Yeah, Peter Strzok, the lead case agent on this Russia probe, was talking about impeaching Donald Trump before Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler were,” Gowdy began. “Let that sink in. The lead agent for the FBI mentioned impeaching Trump before Schiff and Nadler did.”
“You have James Comey who thinks impeachment is too good for him. You
have John Brennan that thinks he should be in the dust pan of history.
You have Andy McCabe, who after Comey was fired, launched another
investigation into Trump,” Gowdy continued. “Martha, if I were Donald
Trump, I would think the FBI was out to get me, too.”
Gowdy only disagreed with President Trump on one minor point.
The President claimed firing James Comey was one of his best decisions.
Gowdy noted that firing Comey only promoted alleged Deep State liar and leaker Andrew McCabe to the top spot in the FBI.
And it was McCabe who opened an investigation into Trump to see if he was a Russian agent after the President fired Comey.
“Yeah, I would correct the president’s narrative only to this extent,” Gowdy stated. “He replaced Comey with McCabe. That is hardly moving up the draft board. It was only when Chris Wray came in that I think you had a dispassionate, objective, law enforcement centered person. McCabe was no better than Comey.”
