Lesbian Waitress Who Lied About Getting Hateful Comment Instead Of Tip Looks To Have Lied About What She Did With The Donated Money

Lying about getting an anti-gay comment instead of a tip is bad enough, but this latest development may mean this case has now become prosecutable fraud.

lying waitress?
It has practically been proven that Dana Morales lied about receiving an anti-gay “tip” from two patrons while working as a waitress in Bridgewater, N.J. We later discovered that she also lied about serving in Afghanistan after she reportedly told friends that she was the lone survivor of an explosion that killed everyone in her platoon (she received a dishonorable discharged for missing drills).
Now, it appears that Morales may have also lied when she vowed to donate the money she initially received from “supporters” to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Before it was revealed that her story was likely a hoax, Morales had reportedly received more than $2,000 in donations.
The Bridgewater Patch followed up on her pledge to donate the money to wounded vets and discovered that no donations had been made in Morales’s name as of Thursday. Further, there were zero donations made from any of the ZIP codes in the Bridgewater area.
“A Wounded Warrior representative checking for donations by her name and the ZIP codes for Bridgewater, where the restaurant is located, and Bedminster, where Morales said she lives, was unable to find any matching donations,” the report adds.
It is still possible that Morales made the donation from a different ZIP code, or by a third-party, the representative told the Patch.
This is a big deal because if Morales kept the money, it could lead to jail time.
Kerry Lawrence, a former federal prosecutor and White Plains criminal defense lawyer, told WTSP that Morales could face criminal fraud charges if it is proven that she made money off of what looks like a hoax. If she donated all the proceeds (Morales posted that she was donating to the Wounded Warrior project), she would most likely not be prosecuted.
Oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.
