Fmr Secret Service Officer Dan Bongino Explains Differences Between DC and America – and He Nails It
Congressional candidate Dan Bongino nails it with his Facebook post
about the difference between Washington D.C. and the rest of America.
Here is his entire post:
After
12 years in the Secret Service, covering 3 presidential campaign
cycles, and my own campaigns for the US Senate and Congress, I’ve
learned some valuable lessons about what goes on behind the thick
curtain dividing us, America, and them, politicians and their cronies.
Here are some observations that may help you understand how we got
here:*
Us – Principles matter.
Them – Principles matter as long as they advance their financial interests and power.*
Us – Talk Radio and
grassroots activism has been a force for good in advancing Conservative
causes, and the principles underlying them.
Them – Talk Radio is a tool to raise money, and grassroots activists are
to be used to recruit volunteers, but behind the scenes they quietly
fear them both and wish they had diminished influence.*
Us – Love of God and
patriotism matter, not because those who strongly believe in both are
perfect, but because they recognize the failings of men and government
and understand that the reality of God, and the unique idea of America,
provide guideposts for us all to continue our journey towards a better
tomorrow.
Them – God is to be used only to advance a partisan agenda when votes
are to be had, and patriotism is for “clingers” in “fly-over” country.*
Us – Be authentic.
Them – Ask an overpaid political consultant how to be “authentic” and follow his inauthentic advice on “authenticity.”*
Us – We are crying out for elected leaders.
Them – They want “leaders” too, but only if it’s them. If otherwise,
crush any chance good-people have in politics to ensure they do not get
in their way.*
Us – Be accessible to the people.
Them – Have a staffer run your Twitter, Facebook, take canned Instagram
pictures, and answer all of your emails. And be certain to never appear
at any public event without appearing “important” and being guaranteed
votes, financial support, or some other tangible benefit.*
Us – Shun biased mainstream media outlets at all costs.
Them – Kiss the behinds of these frauds and hope they “come around”
despite their complete and unending devotion to their liberal masters.*
As I’ve said here
before, sunlight is the best disinfectant, and I feel an obligation to
continue to inform you about what is really going on in the long-running
theatrical production we call DC politics. With a renewed call for
term-limits and a renewed push for enhanced citizen activism we can take
our government back. Start today.
