One Sign that 57,000 Business Have Posted is Making Liberals Lose Their Minds
There are currently 57,000 business within the United States which have posted “guns welcome” or similar signs on their front doors.
Anti-gun group Moms Demand Action have in contrast, only persuaded 6 businesses to ban guns from their premises, including Target, Chipotle, Jack in the Box, Chili’s, and Sonic.
Most states across the nation allow citizens to freely carry, with the exception of Maine, North Dakota and Illinois — who completely ban guns in restaurants or in any establishment that receives more than half its profits from alcohol.
The state of Georgia has extremely lenient laws, allowing firearms into bars in restaurants. The law signed by Gov. Nathan Deal is one of the most comprehensive pro-gun bills in the country.
One restaurant in Rifle, Colorado actually requires the waitresses there to have a weapon strapped to them as part of their dress code.
“I wanted to start carrying just for my protection. This is my establishment, so I didn’t see anything wrong with that,” she said. “[So] I began to open carry.”Patrons come to the restaurant from hundreds of miles around, not just for the burgers, but to see the waitresses packing heat. For them, the decision to have their employees open carry has worked for them.
In the wake of the 2012 Newtown shooting, many national chain eateries began echoing the anti-gun sentiment of law makers, telling their customers to leave their weapons at home. But many smaller restaurants have a more sensible reaction and have encouraged their patrons to come in and eat armed.
In the end, the only thing that is going to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy (or gal) with a gun. Stripping Americans from their 2nd amendment rights will only empower criminals to commit more crimes, as there will be little fear of being shot while they commit their crimes against society. Simple concept, right?
